I would have to say the macjined with clear coat. I think they use a diff type of clear that protects the finish better than paint does. Now dont quote me on that. I have alloy rims on my dually and they have a protective clear on them after they got polished up and the only spots that are chipping off is where the previous owner rubbed against something with it. Otherwise they look awesome when clean.
The snow that Texas is getting will be here tomorrow night. 3-6 inches so my last Mustang ride was today.

Hmmmm Thats strange. I think paint would do the same thing tho. I never really had wheels that were painted except the ones om my dually and the stock ones I had on my 06 F150. Other than that I would polish them by hand to make them look good. I guees I am just old school.
Man that sucks. I wish I would get snow here. I love playing in it.

Will the 35's fit in the fender wells? I was going to put those on my 4x4 and they were way to close to the fender and would have rubbed the fender when turning. I got a 4" suspension lift and 2" body lift on mine now.
