Mustangs Coast to Coast
Sean, if you had any game at all, she would be offering to buy gas, dinner, etc. just for the chance to watch a sunset with you. You need to work on your charm skills if you're going to be broke. That hippie mop top of yours isn't going to get you far by itself.

I wish! That's not how it works haha
In other news, truck is all washed and vacuumed today and I'm uploading what should be a good exhaust vid to youtube
If it works, I'll give you a cookie.
Since when are you 29?

How do you like your mom's escape? What kind of mpg does it get, etc? My sister is bugging my dad for a car now, and she wants a jeep. I think she should have a ford though.

I love my mom's escape. The interior is nice, no rattles, good sized, and the rear seats fold flat down. The seating position is pretty carlike, and it handles extremely well for what it is. The exterior I like, it's a neutral design. Make sure to get a late Gen1 escape though so you get the clear headlights instead of ones that look like they're from your notch, they make a huge difference. White letter tires too If you can, I recommend the 2.3, 5 speed, 2wd model. There's also AWD versions that are supposed to nice and capable in snow and stuff. The MPGs we get are great. Best tank so far is 30mpg mixed driving. That's with relatively subdued take offs, shifting at 3k for 1st and 2nd, shift out of 3rd at 40, into 5th at 45-50. Even when I was driving it a lot, it was still getting 24-26mpg. I drove pretty spirited
DON'T get a 2nd gen Escape though. The interior is hard, dimpled, ugly as sin plastic, the engine note is rougher and almost a little grating, the steering wheel doesn't feel as good as the first, the weight went up, and it looks way worse than the 1st gen. Just my opinion haha
Thanks! It'd probably have to be an auto with the AWD. Most of what I can find is above what I think my dad would spend, but I'll keep looking. There's nothing definite yet. My sister just keeps bugging, and I want to be able to convince them if something does happpen.
The 2wd auto 2.3 my mom test drove before the manual was nothing short of underpowered. They have relatively long ratio 4 speeds, coupled with 4wd, that's even slower. Not sure if it's all of them or just that one, but it had a rough idle too. Her current Escape will idle in neautral, and you'd actually have to get outside and stand in front of the hood to hear it. I only know when it's running by looking at the tach if I'm stopped. The first time we noticed it, we needed gas and thought the car just died. It's that quiet haha
If you're gonna go auto, get the V6.

I was looking at crash test results, and some of them aren't the greatest. There is one that looks pretty nice, just down the road from us though . What about explorers? Anyone? This doesn't look too bad other than a little overpriced...
I need to listen to it again. My sister had her big mouth open.

Sounds mean! I wonder how it would sound with flowmaster 40s.
You spelled Minnesota wrong.
Was that on purpose?
