so yeah...

as you all know, I am a church worship leader... and I may have suffered my worst injury to date last night from playing music. blisters. I get them every once in a while, but this is pretty bad.. I have a blood blister on my pointer finger, and a water blister on my middle finger. I hope they heal by sunday...

Funny you ask.... both.

Jeff jury awards $21.7M in tech fraud case

by CityBusiness staff reports ADVERTISEMENT

A jury has awarded what an attorney is calling the one of the largest civil verdicts in Jefferson Parish court history in ruling that a Houston company stole trade secrets from a Harahan business.
Wilson Greatbatch Technologies was ordered to pay more than $21.7 million to Ion Geophysical Corp., a Houston-based technology company, in an Oct. 1 verdict. The case involved survey positioning devices, often called “birds,” used in seismic surveys for oil and gas exploration.
The jury found that Greatbatch fraudulently obtained the technology that originally came from DigiCourse, formerly a subsidiary of Harahan-based Laitram Corp. Ion acquired DigiCourse and its bird technology in 1998. Laitram CEO Jay Lapeyre, whose father invented the digital compass, has served as Ion’s chairman since 1999.
The case against Greatbatch was originally dismissed in 2007. Ion’s attorney, Miles Clements of the Frilot law firm, said information was obtained from the defendants that allowed the ruling to be appealed

I've got to admit I'm no Yankees fan either. Even if you don't watch them at all, you usually love 'em or hate 'em.

I think I saw my first raptor today. It was several cars ahead of me with the tailgate down and a ladder in the back. It exited before I could catch up though, so I couldn't tell for sure.

Gary, how much did they want for that raptor at your dealer? The only one I've seen so far around here was almost 49k.
edit: found another one for 42k...

I don't know what they wanted for it.

As we were talking he said he would order me (6.2) for $1k under MSRP. I know its not great but the 6.2 is going to be hard to get. Anyway as we're talking about it he said that they would try to get little more than MSRP for the one on the lot. It draws in customers, but they don't want to miss out on selling it while they can still get over MSRP for it. It's still down there. Though everytime I drive by someone's looking at it. I wonder if any of those people ever buy another truck instead.

Anyway. His exact words were "We're gonna get a little more than MSRP for that one because its on the lot, but we'll order a 6.2 for you and we'll do $1,000 under MSRP". I agreed so I'm first on the list. Now to sell my old one so they don't try to butt rape me on the trade in. uch:

The next time tell her that you drive YOUR way. I've gone 85+ on 40 mph zone.
"the following statement it's just a joke and never truly happened, I don't speed". (much)

Dang Tom, No love lost with you uh?? hahaha.

So what a day I had. First, it was just one of those days at work. You know the one where everything goes wrong and everyone and their mother shows trying to sell you something you don't need.

Then I get a phone call from my mother, she has a flat and is stuck on a small 2 lane back country road waiting for AAA to get there. So I start calling around to find someone who has tires in stock for her Highlander 245/55/R19. Apparently only B'stone make tires that fit it and the only place that has any in-stock in the Dealer. Go figure it needs 4 new tires too, its got 35k on it and cuz it has AWD you can't replace just two let alone only the one with the huge hole in it.

Can you believe the 3 Cumberland, RI police officers passed her and not a one stopped to check on her. She had her flashers on and all, blocking half the road. They just went around her and kept going. Yet she said a man who was around 75-80 and his wife stopped to see if they could help. People are just not the same anymore. You really can see how generations have changed.

So while she is at the dealer getting the tires replaced I head home to remove the CAI & tune from the GT. No problem right???? WRONG......

Everything went fine installing the factory air box. So then I head into the car to load the stock tune. I reach down and plug in the tuner. When I do I hear a slight buzz/zap sound, but don't think anything of it until I look down and the tuner and it wont turn on. So i unplug and try again, still nothing.

Then I turn the key to the on position but the dash is dead. WTF!?!?!?!?!?!

So I try again and still dead cluster, then I try to start the car and it starts fine, runs like **** but starts fine. The cluster stayed dead. Well long story short I find a blown fuse by the SJB #8 I think, for the DLC & cluster. Replace the fuse and BINGO :dancedude: the car is fixed.

Well I still didn't have the tune loaded and was worried it would happen again, but I had plenty of 10 amp fuses. Anyway, stock tune loaded just fine and everything seems ok.

However I learned a few things tonight:
1. Cumberland police can be A**holes.

2. I hate driving my car w/o the tune. It just feels fat and lazy.

3. I do like Dr. Pepper, never had it before.

That's just sad man. Never had it before.

It's good stuff. I've been drinking it all my life, every day.

Glad your mom is OK and that sucks about the po-po.

The world has changed immensely. I can remember being in high school and getting a flat and being annoyed with how many people stopped to help me. I'm like yelling at them "I've got it! I've got it!" "Stay in your cars!"
