2016 Mustang are rolling down the assembly line

See this is my first mustang. However I've definitely done my research. Hence starting with oil separators. I'm Leary on the suspension also. Everything I see says the suspension is somewhat soft on the track. I'm wondering if they truly turned all the nannies off though. By holding the traction control until it says advanced traction off. Idk. If I do touch that it will be mostly to bolster it more than the 1" lower.

I'm not too happy with the delay, being I ordered on 7/26. My wife's 2013 Explorer was delivered 17 days after it was built. If that's any indication for me, I won't see my GT at my dealer until mid October. I guess it all depends on dealer allocations, some lucky guys ordered in August and have taken delivery already.

Yeah I suppose it does. Getting that seriously dropped most of the waiting agony I was feeling though. I don't have a time frame yet but I'm thinking mid November. It's all worth it.

Congrats! I got my VIN way back on 8/28 with build date scheduled for 9/28.

The COTUS is worthless, in my opinion, it has never recognized my VIN. At least ETIS shows something, although I have no idea what this code means: "Build date: 30.11.0002"
#27
The ETIS site will say 30.11.0002 if the system has not been updated/car has not been built. Once your car has been built that should chance to your build date.
FYI - On the window sticker you can also find your scheduled build date is you don't already have it.

Have you tried this site that generates your window sticker? http://researchmaniacs.com/VIN-Numbe...cker/Ford.html

I hope I can find a way to actually track the delivery process while the car is en route. My dealership says the ETA is the week of 10/20. My intention is to be there when it's delivered so that I can make sure that the PDI instructions I gave my salesman are adhered to.

Make sure to ost up here when it comes in!
Still no build date for mine. I'm beginning to wonder if it's even in the system.
Or maybe they ran out of Competition Orange paint!?

I heard from Deysha here on the forum that my car was built on Tuesday 9/29, released from the factory yesterday 9/30, and scheduled to arrive with the dealer on 10/16. I'm very excited. I will post pics when it gets here.

Wow that's awesome! Any chance you are in Georgia? I'm really hoping mine also is able to arrive sooner as well. I'm barely clinging to my sanity. If it wasn't for Deysha I'd be insane already. This is my first mustang and I'm so prepared for it.
#35
Good luck man! It's my first mustang too! I am in St. Louis,MO.

On my window sticker it says method of shipment, Convoy. My dealer is telling me that mine is coming into town via truck. So I don't know if it's ever going to be in the train. Who knows? I guess we will find out soon.
#38
Normally 80% of cars shipped travel by rail. Convoys or truck carriers normally operate within 250-300 miles of the dealers location. Told you I was chomping at the bit. I've been burning the Google machine.

Hey Remenant, what does your window sticker say for method of shipment? Does it say rail or convoy?
