20"x9" front with 255 35 20
20"x10" rear with 285 35 20

These are the closest sizes to the stock 265 40 19 & 285 35 20s that I have found.

I wasn't planning to get the TPMS in the new wheels. Is that going to trigger an idiot light in the 2013 GT500?
PLAN CHANGE:
Just going to go with new tires and leave the factory wheels for now.

Front: 275 40 19 (265 40 19 stock)
Rear: 285 30 20 (285 35 20 stock)

Both sets will be within 0.3" in total tire diameter & should have minimal effect on speedo.

As for the center caps, you are the 3rd person that has said that about my new rims...leaving them off. This is my first set of REAL aftermarket rims. Can you explain why to leave off? Pure visual reasons? looks better? or..... ??? someone stealing them? lol
Haha I DID know that, that's why I was a little confused. That and those wheels didn't look big enough for a Mustang.

I said leave the center caps off because they're hideous lol! And the red will look so ricer on a silver TSX...

Another thanks to Overboost. I ended up getting the GT500 wheels he mentioned earlier in the thread (18x9.5) along with the TPMS sensors from Tousley. Just got a local shop to price match Tire Rack for Continental DWS's and everything is in transit now. Now I just need the car to be built and delivered. Have I gotten ahead of myself? Maybe... lol

yeah, the center caps were cheap looking (and feeling). I mean if they said "Volks" maybe. Lol. Maybe I will rock the capless look. Although wouldn't it give it an "unfinished cheap" look? hmmm

Leave them on...capless looks worse IMO. Those caps look fine.

That's the other thing about these caps... Obviously, they came shipped to me installed on the rim. The process of installing and removing them are via the "tabs" the catch on the inner surface of the center opening. To remove them, I actually push from behind the rim (not installed on car yet, obviously) at the tab to loosen it. If I decide to remove the caps later on, when the rims are on the car, I just pop it out with a screwdrive I assume? I'll need to be careful not to scratch the rim while doing that then.

Capless will also have me worried about the salt/sand getting in that crevice...and start eating away.

Exactly.
I don't see a real valid reason to run rims in the winter with no center caps.
Salt/corrosion WILL develop in there and even make the rims hard to remove by the spring.
I wouldn't do it.

If anything, I'd pop them out while the rims are still off the car and run a bead of anti-seize compound on the mating area between the rim and the center cap, to try to seal off that area even more from salt/water getting in there ...

Talking

I got Brembos and I used some regular 18" Mustang wheels (that do not clear the brakes) with 25mm spacers from AM. BTW, I'm running studded Hakka 7 ... ultimate winter tires !

I to went to Discount tire on the web. Ordered 4 new 18" for the Winter. And Kumho Ecsta 4X KU22. I was going originally get full mudd and snows but the amount of snow we get on Long Island it made more sense to get some really good all-weather. That also helped with my bank book. The Rims I selected are similar to my stock rims so i know i will like the look.

Anyone else consider slapping 20's on their cars? I already have the 19" Brembo wheels (factory), and I live in DC.. All season's will be good enough.

I'm thinking of paying a little more and getting 20" AR Torq Thrust M's in Black w/ machined lip. 20x8.5 up front, and 20x10 out back, and just put all season tires on it. If I sell my stock brembo wheels/tires, I could get back at least half of my investment, and just run all-seasons on it all the time.

Am I crazy? maybe.

There's a whole thread dedicated to 20" rims: https://themustangsource.com/f802/sh...t=20%26quot%3B

yeah.. but as a winter/all-weather solution. :-) I think I might be crazy in this regard.. I want/need tires for winter, so instead of spending $1500 on 18's and winter tires, I might as well spend the same for an all-season solution.

this is kinda what i did, however there was not much selections for 19" that I liked and also did not want to damage my 19" stock in the winter, rather use the more inexpensive copy. Also... didn't you get your stripes changed to white yet??

just an endless cycle of dealership hell. I went to drop off the car, and somehow was dumb, and didn't have my license on me. It would have taken my fiancee at least an hour and change to get to the dealership (plus she was on her motorcycle) and so I couldn't get a loaner. I'm now fully convinced that it is my destiny to never ever have the white stripes I wanted, so therefore, I'll just embrace it and get black torq thrusts as well.

I wondered what happened. Sorry to hear that.

I'd tempt fate one more time though and see if you could make another appointment to get the white ones on.

I am sorry to hear that you had another set back. Don't let that deter you from getting it like you want.

+1
Be persistent. The black looks great, but if you want white then follow through and have the car the way you want it. You've put so much into it.
