Tires for a 2013 GT 6-Sp Man
#23
I wanted a little more meat under my car. With the suspension mods I plan to do it will even it out between slot car feel and roller skates. Good thing you can adjust the speedo with a SXT3.

True you could adjust it. But "meat" wise, the 285's are more.

After doing some reading it looks like the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 or the Pilot Super Sport are at or near the top of the list of street replacement tires. The car will not be run at the track or in any kind of Autocross races. I am looking for greatly increased traction but able to be driven 12 months a year.
Have you found any tires that are as good or better?
What would you recommend?

I like the idea of the 285 on the BBP wheels, but in reality, you'd be hard pressed to find one that would be ideal for our wheels. Straight line performance may see improvements, but at the expense of handling. From everything I've seen and read, 275's are as wide as you'd want to go on these wheels if the expectation is great cornering feel and performance.

Dat be de troof dependin' on da tire specs, chile', but yo' tires - they be gonna roll over on dem rims like a old dog gettin him belly scratched. Sorry I just had some Cajun seasoning (from back home) on my eggs. Gets me every time.
