My install went great, they charged me 105.00 and I have to admit, it was worth it! I really like the "lopey idle" and the overall response to the key tune! Well worth the money...

Two hours @ 105! That's ridiculous. My labor charge was 135 total

I didn't go with the Waldorf Ford prices...I went to Koons Ford Annapolis and they charged me 105.00 total!!! (I got my voucher from Tousley Ford for 229.00) so all in all I'm happy...

I can't wait to drive my car tomorrow!

That's good, I wish I had looked around before I bought the voucher from the dealer, paid the standard $302.

Sorry for the highjack but is there a measurable power increase for the $400+ outlay?? I looked into doing my track key and kind of figured a SCT would be money better spent.

I really don't think a power boost was intended for the track key. I have a SCT Tuner that I though about using for the Boss but elected to go with the key due to that's what the pros at Ford say use. I can tell you that the overall set up of the car is a lot better (the car feels "alive" now) more responsive. I'm sure a tune and some better pipes will increase power but Im not a drag racer nor a track guy, just a guy who cruises and do the occasional "light to light" freedom of expression when a Camaro or Challenger or Charger or Porsche decides to do the same!

Any 2013's have their TracKey program installed yet? About how long after purchase does it take to get your "materials"?

Matt:

What materials are you wondering about? My Track Key was shipped over night....I received the envelope with all the pertinent papers that came with it. That was last Thursday....Today, Tuesday, I received my E.O. sticker that needs to but put on the shock tower...to prominently display an excemption for certain emissions.

I don't know how long it will take to get my Boss Owner's package......But I was able to schedule my Boss Track Attack class.

I was told by the dealer that TracKey programming was only done post sale and I'd receive a welcome package from Ford that would outline how to get the PCM flash done by a dealer, etc. I got a red key with delivery but it doesn't do anything yet.

you just need to order the trackey package from Ford. it's nothing more than a couple pieces of paper, license key, and 91 oct sticker for the fuel door. Then the dealer will program for another 1 hour of labor charge. I've had mine for about 3 weeks (2013).

Matt:

There are photocopied information sheets, the blue sheet with the code, instructions regarding the EO sticker etc. The install has to be done by a Ford tech. The tech needs to have a certain version of Ford software and they download the tune from the Ford Racing site...thus the blue sheet with the code. Don't think there's anything an average guy can do if TK hasn't been installed by the dealer.

Guess you should talk to the service manager and get them to complete the install job. Shouldn't be too big of a deal...the instructions walk the tech through the process.

Good Luck,

Wayne

A very good friend of mine bought me this today from Tousley for my Birthday! Looks like I will be needing to drop by the dealer to have it installed.

Recently acquired #1010 2012 Boss 302 White W/Black stripes. The Track Key is Active but having a hard time hearing the lopey idle. Could it be that the baffles have been removed from the side exhaust?

Welcome!

I Don't Know if That Would Be The Issue But Maybe You Will Find The PDF Here Helpful. Look at Page 4. I Believe The Restrictor From The Factory Was Just a Pinhole If The Pic Is Correct on Item 7. Should Be Easy Enough To Check.
