Sorry for the lack of updates...back surgery will do that to you. Btw the dealer and I noticed white stripes on the dora!!!! We changed them back to black right away! Also he said anther dealer offered him $2000 over msrp for my allocation which he politely declined. But I am paying msrp... With some extras thrown in. More details to follow. Love work g with the owner of the dealer and being a sales mgr myself takes all the bs out of the transaction. Now time for some more meds lol!

 

My order went in yesterday evening. Race Red with black stripes, cowl, and roof, plus Recaros & Torsen, and accessory package. Paying MSRP. Priority Number 10 based on Vehicle Order Confirmation sheet that sales manager just faxed to me. According to GM and sales manager, this is the dealership's first quarter allocation. Hope it's warm here when the Boss arrives!

Question: I have a deposit down for boss 302 with a local dealer. According to what I have read on this and other forums the order book is open and one can order a boss now. Is this so or there something else that has to occur before one can place an "official" order. My local dealer has spent several days trying to get this verified with Ford and I am getting a little frustrated with the delay.

Yes, however, people are placing orders for 2012 Mustangs, including the Boss. The dealer can order if they have an allocation(s) for this model. There are other threads detailing the specifics in this and the main 2010+ forum.

 

Some will depend on what quarter the dealer has been scheduled for his Boss order. He might be able to place an order now but if his allotted build date isn't until late next summer you won't get the car until then.

 

My dealers have not been told their allocations.

 

My dealer states that have a non-LS allocation, and that it is 1st quarter build, however they are saying they still can't place the order. I dunno?

 

I smell a RAT!

Dealers were notified and orders are being taken (my order is in) I find it hard to believe they can't get it done.

PICK ONE:

They aren't getting a BOSS.
They are trying to get one from another dealer.
They are testing/feeling the market for ADM.
They don't know what they are doing or how to contact an Area Representative.
They are telling the truth.

Sanity Check/ Question: For the Race Red with Black stripes/cowl/rood - what codes were used?

 

I'm attaching my order confirmation. Now that I look at it, I'm wondering if the order went through with a stripe delete. Can anybody interpret this for me? I wanted all of the decorations in black!

I don't see the order code for the black stripes, however...but I do see "Gloss black stripes" listed directly under the GT Delete code...

For those that have successfully ordered a 2012 Boss, does anyone have a build date or know which quarter their car will be built?

 

My dealer told me that I am getting their first quarter allocation car, but I don't know if I can independently verify that. Perhaps I'll get more paperwork as build dates are scheduled.
