Hey, you passed the test. Trust me, I've seen it before, people try to be "cool" by posting that they got something that everyone wants. Congrats on the car.

yes and the longer it takes the more the wifey doesn't like the car!! LOL it's too late now

Santa's gonna bring me some long tubes and another set of wheels and R comps for the track...

Did anyone notice the vehicle that this starts out as? It says at the top "Mustang GT Coupe Premium"! That might mean for the guys who are really really wanting the security package and sat radio, that it might be in there?! Not sure, just speculating of course. There are a lot of interesting things showing in this DORA...

Maybe that will cut you a beak on the insurance as well. My mach 1 used to come up as a "gt" so I got gt pricing. Love USAA

Hopefully. However, I've just figured out that the Boss has its own unique VIN code, so most insurance companies should be able to discern the difference.

Is it a completely separate vin, or just a code within the vin. The Mach 1's were all coded with an R in the Vin unique to Mach 1 mustangs., just like the originals.

Same thing as the Mach. The R in the VIN designated the 4.6 L 4Valve Motor and identified it as a Mach1. You might get lucky, except that Ford is touting this car as race prepped.

Respectfully,

Roger

I've ordered 3 '12 Boss 302's now. The DORA's are showing up without pricing on them. Totally normal when we order cars before pricing is finalized. Same thing happened a couple months ago when we started ordering the new '11 F-150's with the new powertrains before pricing had been settled.

I believe that that is incorrect. The R indicates a 428, a Q a non-ram air 428 car. In 69-70 a G indicates a B2 car. The Mach I was simply a trim package in 69 and 70.

Last edited by dean_acheson; Nov 12, 2010 at 07:40 AM. Reason: to include 69-70.

So Brian, is it possible to order Kona with black stripes?

Competition Orange for a customer order. Kona Blue for store stock. And a Black Laguna Seca for store stock.

Don't know yet as the striping colors won't come up in the order, just error messages saying that we didn't select the stripes. I tried putting in the codes for both white & black, but neither worked.

We are talking about the 2003-2004 cars. Sorry, I didn't specify because I was assuming the closest point of reference. The SN95 style. You are correct that the R-code designated the "ram air" engine. This was carried over for the 2003+ cars.

Respectfully,

Roger

GT Premium probably because of gauges and dash gadgets.
