Well as stated in my post in whammer's thread....BOSS is mine!!!


I went to the dealer today to meet with the owner and ironed out the details. Ordered a 12' Boss 302 in competition orange with the Recaro/Torsen package.

Only thing we could not figure out is there are 2 different tape delete codes while doing the Rapid spec 500a for the Boss. I will find out and let you all know...and it's not the same codes as for the LS

The only options i spec'd out were the factory car cover and floor mats. LOL

I asked him to find out about the optional brake cooling ducts and see if I could order a front splitter as i am going to do some tracks days and he said he will find out.

Also inquired about the "Red Key" and the ford rep had known nothing about the key...but my dealer stated that it would make sense that a performance program could be placed on the key...so who knows??!



BTW My dealer has owned a 00' Cobra "R", a retired Bondurant Cobra, and a bunch of other hi po FoMoCo vehicle so he's a REAL enthusiast and really informed in the enthusiast scene.

We punched it all in the computer and pushed enter...and it took!!!!! He said he will email me a copy of the "Dora" in the am...I CAN"T WAIT!!!

Also, did you get any prices for the base and options?

 

No pricing. But I am not paying over MSRP and in fact will be paying less

Side note to Whammer: See? What did I say about Ford not publishing pricing lists? I you want it bad enough, it doesn't matter. 6 days before the order banks even open, they're already getting spoken for.

 

And we all know the price will between $40-$45k so if that $5k swing will break the bank you probably shouldn't buy one. I for one would like the lower range but if not... i just will put more money down

I hope to be joining you and jjurgens soon. I'm trying to finagle a Black LS. Even though my dealer was just told today he is getting allocated an LS package, I'm not counting my chickens until the order really goes in, probably early next week.

Congratulations - Do you know/remember what other options were offered with the Boss? Pretty sure I read that the brake ducts can be ordered at the dealer,

 

He thought they would be a delaer option...I just asked if they could order them and I will install the ducts and splitter myself

Oh yes the Subaru days are FAR behind. Blown ringlands on a 21,000 mile 06 with 19 LOF's in the 4 years from new that i owned it and NO HELP AT ALL FROM SOA!!! I am a sales manager at a large Hyundai/Toyota dealer and have been in the business for over 12 years and NEVER had a factory treat a customer as they treated me!! $5,000 later with a factory rebuild/turbo/and throttle body it was sold for $22,000 GOOD RIDDANCE!


BTW: Only power mods were COBB AccessPort otherwise factory tune kills EJ257's stock(ironic huh?) and full exhaust
other than that it had a set of RaceComp Engineering JRZ GT2 coilovers as I had a sponsorship from them (Autocross)









and here's my wife's Camry i had to run for the last 2 events of the season for points!!

 

Congratulations! My dealers have no information as of today. Good deal on the MSRP or better pricing!! Curious to find out about the tape delete option. Maybe thats for the hood and roof and the C stipe with BOSS 302 stay? Right now I'm going for Kona and black. Any idea on when the car will be manufactured?
