What the hell is FORD thinking???????????

If they think that stupid looking Kia looking crap is to be called a "Mustang" they must really be taking some really bad drugs. It sure don't look like a Mustang and putting a four cylinder in it is like a kick in the ba$$s if you ask me. A really stupid move from Ford on this Mustang downgrade.

1)I have 2 KIAs they are kick *** cars (Built in America BTW). Also Kia is coming out with a 2+2 sports coupe that we ought to be aware of:
http://www.worldcarfans.com/11312186...ed-for-detroit
2)The Mustang has had a turbo 4 before (SVO Mustang in 80s) and a regular 4 in the 80s.
3)Ford is giving you OPTIONS. The Eco Boost will be kick *** and deliver more power than the V6 and over 305 HP.....That's nothing to sneeze at. If I couldn't afford the V8 or didn't want to deal with insurance costs I'd look at a Ecoboost 4 over the V6. But anyone who wants a big V8 can get one. What are you complaining about again?

Originally I was totally not loving the new look and can see what a lot of those who don't like it still mean. This Mustang at different angles resembles quite a few other vehicles and makes. I saw the Fusion, Hyundai, Gt-R and some others when I looked at it. I still don't love it but I don't hate it, there is potential, LOTS! I love my 05 but it did progress just like this one will plus those at STEEDA, CDC, SALEEN, ROUSH along with the millions and millions of Mustang fans will mod the hell out if it! So hang in there all, seeing it first hand will change minds and hearts!

I think the V6 will appeal to a lot of people who want a Mustang with all the technology the new Mustang will have, but do not desire to have the fastest Mustang. The 2.3 liter turbo four will appeal to a group of enthusiasts who want a nimble and light Mustang that may cost more than the V6, but will be faster. The 5.0 V8 and SVT 350 will be desired by those who want the performance envelope pushed as far as possible. The 2015 Mustang should have something for everyone to choose from.

The 4 banger is there so Ford can keep its avarage MPG line up ,so it meets the government quota for now, and for next years to come, also a 4 banger is what people will be buying in other markets away from USA, only rich people will be able to afford a 5.0 in Europe, or a high-mid class job to say the least. They get taxed up the *** over there, in Poland a Euro Camaro SS basic without options starts at 70-80 grand when I did the currency conversion.

To be honest, I really don't see why they continue the V6 instead of just replacing it with the Turbo-4. Less manufacturing costs, yadda-yadda, and I don't think an i-4 is less muscle than a v6, if anything it, maybe, could be considered a throw-back to the SVO.
On that, I don't see why anyone would buy the V6 over the i4 unless it really is cost.

For the people out there that think a 4 cyl. is to wussy for the Mustang. Well, as I understand it, starting next year, all Formula 1 racers are required to only have 4 cyl. motors. Of course these motors will be aided by several turbochargers. Sounds badazz to me. I think the 2015 Mustang is worthy of such a powerplant.

4 bangers are good for nothing boat anchors, if I could choose between a 4 cyl with 400 hp and a v8 with 200 hp, I'd choose the latter, sounds better, is cooler, and looks better too.

The V6 will be the entry level for the 2015 Mustang. The 2.3 liter Ecoboost will be sold at a premium to the V6 . The Ecoboost Mustang will have two gauges to the right of the steering wheel. Adding the boost gauge and oil pressure gauge means the Ecoboost four Mustang will have additional upgrades to the dash then the base V6 Mustang.
Most likely, half of Mustang buyers will buy the V6. I suspect the Ecoboost four will bring in new Mustang buyers and maybe pickup some previous V8 buyers. Believe it or not, a lot of people buy cars with the base engine to save on fuel and initial purchase cost.
