Those who hated or were on the fence, has the 2015 Mustang grown on you?
Personally, I think a 4 door performance sedan would rock out for Ford. You drop a 5.0 in the Fusion and that B otch would roll and great for consumers with children. Look how many Chargers you see out there. There all over the place. The new Chevy SS has 400 plus HP and wouldn't surprise me if that sells well. I was told by a salesman of Chevy at the Philadelphia auto show the Chevy SS will be a limited production car. There are a lot of people who would love a fast car with performance all while having the convenience of 4 doors to accommodate their family. I'm not talking about making it a handling beast but make it performance oriented in a straight line and that sucker would sell.
Saw both the coupe and convertible at the Canadian International Auto Show today....
A couple of observations...
This car is LOW.. not neccessarily in terms of ground clearance, but one could accuse the 2005-2014s of being "big" cars... the roof has to be at least 2-3 inches lower. As a result, it also makes the car seem much smaller -- especially the coupe.
Overall though, I just wasn't that impressed, the only thing that screams mustang is the badge in front, and it seems like badge has actually gotten bigger versus previous incarnations.

Since I do own a 12, perhaps my opinion will forever be biased, naturally. And that's what it will forever be, an opinion. And my "opinion" is, whether I do own a 12 now or a prior year or don't even own a mustang at all, the 15 doesn't do anything for me. It looks like any other generic looking "coupe" out there. It didn't capture me like the 11-12 did, when I didn't own a mustang. I saw the 12 and I loved it so much that I had to have it. The 15, no thanks. If I didn't own a mustang now, I wouldn't get a 15... Just because it doesn't appeal to me. Biased? Oh probably... But on the same token, looks are always opinion based. No right answer. I just don't care for the 15. Period.
With the right color car, those wheel colors would work. Not on silver. Only black wheels will do on silver. Those orange wheels would look amazing with the Deep impact blue or Black. Those
I want those white wheels for my Kona Blue. Wow, they look amazing. I'm in love

Ford can be accused of trying to rip off Aston Martin with some of the designs for their cars these days (not specifically the mustang)... it's almost as though the fastback roof reminds me of an Aston moreso than the Mustang. Maybe it's the lack of B pillar?

But then again the Design of the 1970's Aston Martins were inspired by the 1969 Mustang...
Actually I had a 2011 Mustang V6 and now have a 2013 GT. I was planning on a 2015 Mustang GT. I am sure I won't buy a "Fusion coupe." I will look at the new GT350 to see if the SVT guys do something to bring back the "icon" I wanted to drive. If not, I'm starting to look at The Dodge Challenger.

With the Hood Sculpture and Quarter Windows from the 94-98's

And the Headlights from the 99-04's, just flipped & reversed...

There certainly isn't anything wrong with liking the looks of the new Mustang
The Fusion is the best selling car from FORD. I'm not surprised that they think a "coupe version" - called a Mustang - will sell well! And, that's the name of the business. I just don't like a "homogenized" looking car, and yes, that includes some of the 1990's Mustangs. I really don't see the 2015 headlights as "Muscle car looking." More "girly car looking" - I guess European. There are lots of "European looking" cars with the "cutsey headlights" these days. So I hope they sell really well...to raise the price of my FORD stock. But I'll be looking at the Dodge Challenger SRT8 when I decide to sell my 2013 GT convertible......unless the SVT guys bring out an "iconic looking" Mustang.
