I was on the fence, but now I love. I loved the idea of the IRS and the 5.0 Coyote in the 2015, but other information concerning size and body design was confusing. The renderings by some of the car magazines had me going from WOW to yuck, so when the 2015 was finally debuted I had to really look it over. I'll admit there are some things I don't like about the 2015's body, but they're not deal breakers and maybe they will improve with later models. The more I learned about the total car, the more I liked it, especially the GT.
Overall I think Ford did a good job, and if I didn't already have a 2013 GT sitting in the driveway, I'd be waiting for a 2015 GT.

Everything you write except for owning a 2013 and maybe owning a 2015 echo my sentiments.

For the most part, pictures usually do not do justice to a car. Most cars look better in person. For example, I did not like the SVT wheels on the 2013-2014 GT500 when I looked at pictures of them. The beauty of design did not come out in the pictures. Now that I see the wheels in person, I like and appreciate the design.
As far as the design of the 2015 Mustang goes, there are a many design features in the new Mustang. Break down each feature and you will see they are features unique to the new Mustang. I like the fastback roof design and the grill opening. True , the grill may resemble a Fusion but is different in its own way to be unique to the Mustang. The roof line is truly unique to the Mustang and will look better in person.

I thought I liked the new car when I finally got a chance to see it. Then I saw it in a video and it looked completely different. I think the press photos are carefully angled. The first is a press photo and the second is a snapshot from a video. They look so different, and my opinion of the car is diminished.

I really want to like it but overall the car doesn't excite me. Ultimately, I ask myself if I would give the car a second look if it didn't have the Mustang logo and the answer is no. It appears more like a sport coupe, such as a Honda Accord or Hyundai Genesis. Maybe it will be more appealing in person.

nice but not WOW nice.
it looks good but does it grab me like the '13 did? no. I have never really wanted a mustang enough to buy one till '13. I think in another iteration or 2, maybe it will excite me again. A few tweaks here and there. AS it stands, it looks nice but not WOW nice.
I remain giddy as a kid to continue with mods to my '13 GT and enter some shows next summer.

I like it a lot. Especially the lower, wider stance. I think they got it just right. Evolve the design that has been so popular (and classic) but don't go so far as to alienate the owners of the current generation. It will be interesting to hear how it handles with the new inde rear.

Fell off the fence when I saw the side by side comparison with the present model which makes my 13 model look kinda chunky, especially the rear. Add that with all the improvements and I can see the 2015 or 16 in my future.

Sorry, was hoping the late renderings were off, but no. Not interested in owning a Fusion Fastback.
However, as others have said, hate is much too strong a word. While I have no desire to have a 2015+ (and my desire to keep my 2006 forever is now locked in) I still hope it takes the world by storm and kicks that totally ugly Camaro's butt.
I can't wait to see the first track comparison between the 2015 Mustang and that other car.

OK, the middle looks good, if you cut the back off behind the rear wheels and the front off half way through the front wheels. I like that it is lower and wider. The front... WOW, just do not care for it at all. The rear... hummm, the more that I look at the rear the more I like the front, and like I said I do not care for the front.
Who knows maybe it will grow on me when seen in person, I really hope it does, I have always loved the mustang.
The upgrades to the mechanical and electrical / interior all look good. Will be nice to see and put my hands on them.
Just my $.02

Exactly. If there is any chance of dislodging the 2008 Bullitt from my garage, the same positive styling evolution as occurred with the SN95s (from initial Toyota-esque jellybean to the muscular "New Edge" of the last iteration) will have to happen with this new model.

The very model of a modern major-general
Never hated it.
Never loved it.
Not on the fence either.
I think it is a proper iteration of a modern Mustang.
I just have no interest in rushing out and buying one.

Oh, I most definitely think they are going after the Accord, Genesis, BRZ, FRS crowd. Mainly, with the 4 banger and V6. We knew all along that Ford wants to appeal to the younger demographic. The BRZ/FRS were little darling cars of the magazines last year. Getting all sorts of praise despite being underpowered(imho). Ford wants a piece of that pie. Problem is can the younger demographic afford new cars. Wages vs cost of living seems so unbalanced these days. And these kids come out of college and tech schools owing so much, can't find jobs in their fields, and still having to work at Micky D's for $8 an hour.
My nephew is making $12 an hour at a warehouse job. Bought a '13 Civic SI last summer. Bit off more than he could chew. Ended up having to turn around and sell it 3 months later at a loss. Losing 3 or 4K.
well, getting off track.
Back on track, I like the new look after taking some time to digest it in.
Did it wow me like the S197 did when it came out. No. not enough to to sell my '11 GT/CS. That care still wows me. Sucks Wisconsin winter is here now. So, she's snug as a bug in a rug in the garage for the next few months.
I'm still very interested in checking out a S550 when they hit the dealers.
Right now for late model mustangs, S197 is still my favorite look, S550 so far 2nd, SN95 3rd, Fox body last.
