There is two ways to do this. The cheap but harder way or the expensive and easier way. I choose the easier way.

The harder way is to find a totaled 16 or 17 Mustang and have the screen and APIM pulled (which is very hard to find). Then you have to buy the new USB hub and GPS antenna from Ford. Plus you have to build a cable for the USB Hub. This is required for Apple Carplay and Android Auto. Finally you have get you VIN programmed into the APIM. A thread on Mustang6g goes over all this and all of the problems people faced.

Then there is the easy way. I ordered everything from 4dtech. It is $2100 with nav, $1600 with out nav (if you have MFT). This is a brand new screen, APIM, USB Hub, GPS antenna, and cable for the hub. Everything but the tools needed to pull apart the dash is there (which you should order at the same time). It took me an hour to do and I just followed the video step by step on how to do the install.
