leaks
when are we going to start seeing leakage on actual plans for the car. prototypes with a full redesign wouldnt they have to get started a bit sooner than for the 2010 update?

I agree, I think it'll be a while. Ford are pretty good at keeping such things secret.....well, compared to others.
I wonder if we'll get to see a concept car though, say 12 months before the launch of the production car. I sure hope so, 'cos the waiting will be painful

My source is pretty high up the food chain at Ford. Everything he has told me the past couple of years came true, other than the HP rating on the new 5.0
I believe he knew the true HP rating, but he was afraid to tell me.
Last time I had spoken to him, he had not seen any sketches of the new re-design. I will ask again.

I can see this one tight to the vest, not many people will see it ...till the time is right, even internally.
Being that it'll be the next major redesign + during the 50th Anniversary Milestone, and being out sooner than the Camaro redesign, they won't want many details leaked.

Ford can hope to sit on this but at some point some anonymous employees are going to start whispering. I figure next year sometime we'll start hearing whispers, and lots of bull too
As for mules, things can get tricky. A clean-sheet redesign and a significant upgrade have different development timetables. And Ford's getting pretty good hiding platforms under things. I think if we start seeing Falcons with odd-looking proportions, or misshapen sedans, they could be early 'Stang running gear.

Yep - first 3 lines are design elements from Mustang Sketches shown at Test group interviews with 2005-2010 Mustang owners in Duesseldorf/Germany on March 30th,2010. 1/2 an hour about Capri, the rest of the interview was about Mustangs acc. to narrations from participants.
Unfortunately I did not qualify for the interview as a classic Mustang driver although we were first contacted.
If you can read german or use online translators:
