Concerns about seating for tall drivers...
#21
Well, I decided to be pro-active and popped into a Ford dealer today and discovered something interesting about the seating.
There is a difference in the seating positions between the 11/12 and the 13/14 model even though interior changes were only cosmetic.
It seems that the IUP seats have different cushioning and different seat tracking:
11/12 models-less legroom and headroom
13/14 models-the seat travel is bigger and you can adjust seat angles, seat height etc even more. I found that the 13/14 models have a lot more room than the 11/12's
So...if you are like me ( tall and moving from the 11/12's to the 15)...you should be fine for room.
I figure that the 13/14 has about 1.5" more of headroom over the 11/12 and about the same in leg room...meaning that even though the headroom is less for the 15, there should be more headroom in there than the 11/12.
Thank God because for me it was 2015 Mustang or bust...
