Yeah, not a fan either. While I too hope the "round" headlights continue on with the S550, this is taking it too far.
I prefer the Mustang to have a business-like "glare" (like the pre-'70 Mustangs and the pre-refreshed S197), and not a scowl (like the refreshed S197) and not squinty eyed like most people seem to like in a lot of the S550 concept art posted here.

Well, the Mustang is not necessarily a muscle car to begin with so that's not really an issue for me.
Anyway, I don't think it'd be hard for the S550 to have round headlights but I'd be surprised if it did...

I like the tail for sure but not real set on the whole package and I have a source that says it will in no way look like the Fusion up front.. Sooo

Personally, I hope it gets a new mean and modern look. Not too impressed with these Hyundai-imitating-Aston-Martin looking renders. If I wanted a metro-sexual looking performance coupe I'd buy an Infinity G37.
For me, true muscle cars are usually big-engined, full-sized cars but the definition varies. About the only Mustang I might call a "muscle car" were the big block cars from the 60s and perhaps the current GT500s.
In my view the Mustangs have grown too big and heavy and have strayed too much from the initial concept. My feelings wouldn't be hurt if Ford took a step back and decided to return the Mustang to its roots.

Were these pics before the 5.0 and 3.7 were released?
