Indeed....this thread was just a place to see what was "out there" as far as potential next-gen Mustangs was concerned. We all know that these initial sketches, even if they were "official", would get watered down massively before making production.

However, I just like to see how far some people can take the idea of a new Mustang.

When I'm searching the internet for future Mustangs, I only ever post the ones here that I think are instantly recognisable as a Mustang.......there are some out there that would probably make you feel ill!

Hey Fellas,

There was this one concept that I thought was just BadAss way back in 04'. I've searched the net endlessly but no luck in finding that image. It was Blue and it had heavy cues of a 71'. Anybody have that image. I think Ford might try to go in the direction where they left off before they took a left into the dark ages!

That's it!!!

Yeah I think that this would be something along the line that they'd go. I read an interview years back that the 99-04's were originally going to be introduced in 94 but they felt that it was too edgy for the time so they went with the SN95. Just something that I'd throw out there

Topnotch, that's the closest thing to a real possible future Mustang I think I've seen on here! Nice.

Ironic, really, when you consider that sketch was done before the S197 was launched

What do you think is horrible about it? To me it looks better than about 80% of the 'chops and "concepts" posted in this thread

Also it the spoiler has a nice 03-04 cobra touch to it. Just add some 67 gt500 rear lights to it and I'd droll over it.

I like this one:

It reminds me of one of my favorite Hot Wheels cars I had as a kid:

I say if the next Mustang comes anything remotely near that, similar or not, I would like it.

The 928 S4 was a favorite car of mine for many years. The thing to look at here is the fact that that design still holds up. You could produce a 928 today and it would look right for the time. This is what Ford needs to think about for the next Mustang. A car for tomorrow as well as today.

Agreed, the white concept is fairly nice. Now we just need a front view.

If only the body ended at the bottom edge of the door on the white stang. Everything after that is too bulky. It's needs to be more nimble looking tight fitted
