So aren't they test driving it after their work??

Glad they finally stepped up.

And the GT500 is a nice ride. Hopefully after the boost kicks in all this will be soon forgotten.

op ..i can see your point,,,when i bought at dealer i drove it 6hrs home and checked oil it was quart low ,,,lil under 800 miles ,,now 1400 miles its a quart low ,,,My new gt is my dream car ,, i had a 2009 grabber orange car that i was forced to sell then when chance came to hav a 412 hp 5.0 ik jumped on it, but the using oil part ,,i dont like it at all ! You gotta admit though gosh our cars are just great and **** fast, Faster than muscle cars of 60's and 70's era, The 2011 and 2012 is the best gt ever, and yours is perfect now ,,Why dont you try to get a great deal on a trade up into another brand new gt. You are in the seat maybe now to do it. Start your dream over Friendo!

i go to my local dealer here in wv thursday for oil consumption test ..ive aded two quarts of the crude im at less than 1400 miles..one day right after a wot jaunt lol i notcd a faint whiff of oil ..i just figured it was some i got on my shoe or somethng sure enough at 894 mi i was a quart low ,,now almost 600 miles a quart fills it up to top of hash marks on stick. I love my Gt and the thought of perhaps an unknown unexperienced tech checking it out just disheartens me alot! The gt is supposed to b a fun experience ,,my escape ,and heck for almost 40g ,,it should be!
i hope i dont have major engine problems,,i havent abused it. ive heard alot of peoiplke saying during break in they hav lost oil issues. who knows.. i do know this. i bought it as a fun investment to b tucked away in my garage man cave till the sun is bright. Now im driving it to work one day in the heart of winter so i can let dealer check it out, not good
at least its warrantied lets see what happens from here, Ford tells me a quart loss in a thoulsand miles is acceptable to them..wow,,its not acceptable to me at all ..Lets see what happens

A quart every thousand miles is acceptable? My ****. So the recommended oil change interval is what 7500 miles? So they're saying that having to add 7.5 quarts of oil between changes is acceptable? Why even bother changing it, just slap a new filter on it, and top it off, hell all of the oil you started fresh with is gone and replaced with new oil.

But seriously, if I spent that kind of money on a new car and it used that much oil? I'd take it back and park it on their lot and raise a **** storm of the likes they've never seen.

lol ok i go to my local dealer , service manager telling me that if oil is in hash marks it could b too full sometimes sticks read wrong ,,im like yeah in a 1975 chevy truck maybe ,,so they xplain they can do an oil chng, mark stick and go from there for a 37.00 fee ,,im like sure but this is a warranty issue ,,lol now im upset i call another dealer who i know is reputable,,service agent says we cant do oil consumption test untill ten thoulsand miles ,,wow
so i call ford ..kathy at nmbr deysha lists is assitn me, they say ill hav a call back by monday,,case nmbr 0673622561 ...lets see what happens

Not saying anyone does not have a problem but with mine, it all cleared itself. I used a qt.+ in the first 1500-2000 miles. Topped it off myself and continued to monitor it. Saw no drop to amount to a problem after that. Did the first oil change at 5000 miles and the oil was a bit low but nothing great....just noticeable. Since the first change, there has been no oil usage and I drive it aggressively all the time. Hope these here have the same luck.....

i may be ok now. i drove it like 46 miles to work and back, i didnt abuse it but lol i never saw 79mph or below ,felt like the dude from vanishing point lmao (what a gret movie),get home 8sih go in garage and check it 4 hrs later, hasnt used a drop..knock on wood hopefully it was just breaking in, i will sleep better now lol.i know its crazy but imn- thinkin maybe the people who saw just a lil oil consumptiopn had cars with higher gearing, and the 3.73 3.55 cars used more in break in becaus they turn more at lower rpm, its just a thought but it makes sense u know
i still cant believev =what a machine new 5.0 is ,,imagine this drivetrain in a light maverick or coupe, The new gt is the ultimate musclecar. I truly dont see how it can b topped
