Another 2011 GT engine failure
A 38 year old who works 12 hours a day and with a little kid and a wife that is expecting another child soon, is going to find the time he did not have to have a normal lunch to troll and misinform people. Such an irresponsible message.
Irresponsible Person out
Peace

After all, this is the internet and everything is suspect to thinking people.

Thank you. I do understand that this is a Mustang forum and people are very attached to their cars and some can not believe that something serious can go wrong with their cars. It can happen to any car from any maker. I love my Mustang, this is why I came to this forum to seek an advise from people familiar with the car. I'm not bashing it, not complaining, just wanted to share and see if someone could give me an advise on what I need to do. Just glad it worked out for meand wish the call from the shop came a little earlier, before posting here...
Ford mechanic here. Oil (unless it was pouring into the cylinders) will not destroy an engine. Especially an oil and gas mix. That's why I'm calling bs on their story unless you left some details out.
I do not know if oil presence was the reason, or it made it's way to the fuel system after something else happened. I'm not a mechanic and I'm the last person to hypothesize about the culprits. All I know is what I'm told by the mechanics at the shop. I did not leave anything out, but it seems that nothing I say will convince some people here that I say the truth. Thank you anyway.

Yigal,
Why didn't you take the car direct to a Ford dealer?
When your wife took the car to the shop did she drive it there?
It's strange that your wife drove it there it just ended up dead after they looked at it.

The place is called Bay Ridge Ford. They do not sell cars there but they are probably associated with one of our local dealerships here in Brooklyn. My wife took the there on Monday morning it started fine, and she drove there without any issues. It is very interesting that the car suddenly died while in the possession of the shop. I will send the VIN number to Deysha in hopes she can find out exactly what happened.
Odd....when the Bay Ridge Ford is googled, it shows as a full line dealer....not just a repair shop. The service dept. does have a different address than the sales but still a full dealer opened in 2010.
