I would remove the prop right after you sign the paperwork if I were you. Mine was only on there a couple days and it slightly marked the plastic, which bothers me every time I see it.

 

That will probably come off at the dealership before I drive it home. Not much need to be under the hood right away, and I can wait a day or two after the clear bra and tint have been done before I stare at the engine bay.

 

The Redlines are now easier then the MRTs because you don't have to loosen the hood bolts. Only 1 fender bolt and its done(not including the sound tube). They do stick out a little further but 1 side can be popped off easy(if it happens to be in the way) and the hood will still stay up.

Not including the sound tube...what's up with that? Don't have to permanently remove it, do you?

 

You have to move the bracket to the underside of the lip is all.


Or just take it all off and send it to me...

 

Just ordered them tonight. Any other suggestions on the install, except as noted above. Looks pretty straight forward.

Good luck with clearbra, kco. Clearbra was first thing I ever did. Then mrt was next.

So it looks like redline is now offering these no drill struts to compete with mrt. It is indeed good to have choices.

 

I just ordered them in "Gotta Have It Green" cost me $148.00.

 

So there's regular, plus, and elite? The website was super cluttered, only saw 2.

I have a black car so no need to paint. I'd just like a durable black. I guess the plus is it. That sweet if it's under a 100 beans too...

 

Redlines or MRT? If Redlines come painted now, Id pay for that.

 

Getting painted ones is a mistake in my opinion. These are things that are unseen unless the hood is up and they should stand out and show contrast. Unless of course you want to keep your engine bay "blah".

 

At least one of redline's dealers paints them for you if you want, don't recall who it was.

I received and installed the Elites yesterday afternoon. I like the polished look with the Red Candy paint. What a breeze to put in, plus they raise the hood a little higher then the hood brace, which is a plus.
