It sounds like I don't know what I am missing with these and the wife is giving me a $200 allowance this month for the car.
Anyone know what the deal is with the trunk ones? If they directly replace the stock ones with a smoother opening action I might get those too...

She makes more than I do, which is why I got a GT500 instead of a V6. I think I will keep her.

The farther away the strut is from the hing the more stable the hood will be.
The farther strut is away from the hing the lower the pressure needed in the cartridge to start with. The lower the pressure the longer they last.

They are less than 23", if you need more exact I could check later. The tube they shipped in is just over 25" and had .5" deep seals on each end, plus probably a couple inches of padding inside and the bolt on parts on top.
