**** I'm tired, that was a lot of gmasty work. Everything had oil or antifreeze in it. I just hope I can put it all back together

I'm thinking about using the 3.7 lower intake, I can add my injectors here. I would need to have the heads machined to match the cut out for the injectors but I don't think that's too difficult. There's only one other hole that would need to be drilled and tapped for a mounting screw, not a big deal.

If I went this route I would have it ported and I would build a custom upper intake manifold to bolt down to this, since it's got the runners and injectors in the lower the upper becomes fairly simple.

I wonder how restrictive these are after they are ported. Can this support 900hp with 30 psi boost? I have no idea.

I got the oil pan off and the windage tray blocks most of my view but it looks like #5 piston has some damage and there are some light scratches on the cylinder wall. Nothing too bad, I'm sure it can be honed out. There's no chunks of metal in the pan and there doesn't seem to be anything substantial missing from the piston. It's hard to tell but the rod may be bent slightly.

I couldn't get a pic, there wasn't enough room to get the camera in there.

That's why you still have my little camera to go in and look... You could insert it into the spark plug hole and see what happened.

I tried the scope, I can't see anything with it. Because I can't move it around it has a very narrow view and what I can see looks fine. I'm 95% sure it's a piston skirt or it burnt a hole in the piston.

Sent my engine off today to Excessive Motorsports in Florida, same company that built the engine for the MPT f150. I spoke with several engine builders including the guys over at Livernois and the owner, Jordan, gave me the most confidence. He has built some high hp 3.7s as well.

This is the plan so far
1. JE pistons, possibly Wiseco
2. Carrillo or Manley rods
3. Stock crankshaft (apparently its pretty strong)
4. 5 angle valve job
5. Port and polish heads
6. Billet oil pump gears
7. Arp head studs
8. Arp main studs
9. Upgraded turbos 71/63 Borg warners (full-race)
10. Custom aluminum intake manifold with injectors
11. Custom made air-to-air and water-to-air intercooler (more on this later)
12. All new turbo piping
13. 3.08 rearend gears
14. Pro EFI supplemental fuel controller for additional injectors

If there's any cash left lol
1. Torque converter
2. Transmission rebuild with stronger internals.

FYI, engine on a pallet with straps weighs 369 lbs. I figure the pallet and straps weighs around 50 lbs. once I get the engine back I'll weigh these pallet and straps to know for sure.

Would be interesting to see what the engine builder finds for damage when he takes your engine apart.

Funny you mention that because I've been giving the sponsorship idea a lot of thought lately and have come to a conclusion. There's a difference between a sponsor and a partner on the build, I'm looking for a partner. Even with the money I don't have the expertise or knowledge in every part of this complex build...theres no way to do it alone. What's exciting is getting these industry experts to work with me to build the fastest car we can.

Sponsors may give you cash but the information from a build partner is very valuable too. Mike at MPT has donated his time and travel to the project, excessive motorsports has given me rock bottom pricing on the engine, Lexiion worked on my car for 20 beers or so, these guys can take credit for their part of making this build happen!

#1 really love your build when you are done you should try to contact guy like thatdudeinblue so he can review your car and make your car more popular than helping you get sponsor or partner or whatever you want
#2 i want to do the same what do you recommand for a street car i will most likely start with a 2011 v6 with little front end damage for around 11k cad how much do you think will it cost to make it run and everything (sorry for my bad english im french :/)

I guess my question would have to be how far do you want to take it? I think if you figure $10k US minimum all the way to $35-50k for everything. The minimum would be getting a stock engine running in your car, the rest your can spend on making it faster. 420whp is pretty easy to get, the horsepower after that can get expensive.
