Really? I wouldn't be surprised if you are correct. But that seems odd. They aren't serviceable and are supposed to last for the life of the car. If they go out in 1 year, isn't that a defect that Ford should take care of? If not, make them serviceable to change bulbs out.

BTW, the comments about the lights being properly aimed from the factory is not always the case. My driver side headlight was aimed low on my '14. Also, I have a 2006 Silverado with lower fascia fog lights. From the factory, any 2006 Silverado with those lights on will blind the oncoming traffic. The headlights are fine, but the fogs are aimed up, from the factory. People don't flash their lights at you just because they see four lights and assume you have your high beams on. They flash at you because they can't see because your lights are too bright! Nobody driving will take the time to think, "hmmm, four lights visible at the grille area, they must have their high beams on." They flash because they can't see! I hated the Mustang GT fogs for years because they are very bright. I removed mine because the car looks better without them.

I used to be a service writer for a ford dealer and bulbs including LED's are not covered by warranty. So show me they are.
check out #20 under "what is not covered"
http://www.ford.com/resources/ford/g...dwrnty_r05.pdf
that also is for brand new warranty vehicles. only way to cover bulbs is through ford premium care

When I ordered my car, before delivery, as I had even told the salesman, I was already planning on removing the Grill Fog lights. Instead I chose to go with the lower Valence lights as found on the CS, and put HIDS in there place. I hated that they put those plastic covers down there, that make it obvious, something is missing down bottom so they close to put black plastic trim to fill the holes. With my lower HID's I can drive with just parking lights, and I get no one flashing me as if I had high beams, as I did when the factory Grill lights were on. Car has more of an aggressive look with a blacked out grill in my opinion.

I specifically wanted the '13 and not the '12 because of all the LEDs that are used on the car. I like to have things that I can show to friends, "this is what we make".
