I know this may seem a little confusing to you but dont worry you will be fine

I doubt you are getting spark blow out without a blower. The knock in the heat can probably be taken care of in the tune by backing the timing out a few degrees.

for now you could ask for a 91 or 93 street tune and make sure they know all of your mods.Your stock plugs should be fine as long as they are not fouled.

Stay away from all octane boosters.I would use a can of Torco in a pinch but I just mix a couple gallons of race gas with my 91 and keep a consistant tank of 93 or a little higher. We only have 91 here in California.

So, to update... I think I was having a timing issue with my tune. I'm ordering a new tune file through my email from VMP tuning. I'm pretty sure the dude at steeda never factored in my new intake manifold even though I tried to make it very clear when I got my first tune... Oh well. Hopefully this takes care of things.

Nope, not likely.

The Boss Mani can be ran without an update to the tune.

It just won't be optimal.

I'd look elsewhere for the issue.

Start with a compression check and each cylinder. Pull the #8 plug and post a pic.

No!!!!

Way too soon to give up!

I'll give you my cell number, and I'll walk you through pulling your plug. It's a 2 minute job.

Don't go throwing money at a shop just yet.

You ever run octane boost? You are running 93 octane, right?

We can help figure this out for you!

I pulled the plug and everything seemed to be fine... I bought the car used w/ 6k and have ran nothing but 93 octane since (@ 11k now)...no octane boosters or anything. I just feel like the mods I've done aren't meshing together properly... The place I'm going to (fastlane performance in houston) had my 05 GT screaming in no time and I never had any problems with it. This clicking since I did the SCT flash from Steeda is killing me and I don't know what it is (plugs?injectors?tune?) I've got an appointment to get my car tuned properly and dyno'ed now... It'll be nice to see how much difference exhaust, boss mani, CAI, and tune really made on the 5.0 as those are the mods alot of "enthusiasts" will likely choose... Sure feels alot faster but since i put the exhaust on its like a different vehicle to begin with bc it sounds so much faster. Someday I want LTs and boost! Hope I smooth this clicking business out for now...
