So I have a 2012 with a 8/2011 build date so that would tell me that my car has the older style side airbag plug. Which means I need the Recaro seats that end in MB not MC which are for the mid 2012-2014 cars. I really want these seats but it's hard to come across MB seats, most are MC. My question is if only the actual plug is different and not the wiring would it be possible to cut the plug off and splice in the proper plug?

 

You need a 14S411 wire harness repair kit - send me pictures of the two different connectors- I can help you figure out what you need.

 

I don't have an actual picture of the new connector but I can find one. As for the old one, I have a picture of the dummy plug used to fool the system into thinking you have air bags. I'll send that later. Thanks for your help.

 

Would anyone know if the Ford Racing seats with Part#7220432.1.3017 and Date-6/27/2012 fit in my 2012 with a build date of 8/11 VIN-1ZVBP8CF8C5247483? I ask because I knowthat only the Ford Racing MB seats would fit and that the MC seats will not dueto different connectors. I found seatsbut the only part # on the seats is the one I listed above. Nowhere on the seats does it have the otherpart # from ford racing (M-63660005-MB)
