Lol! The SC might be cheaper than Vegas. I heard this saying once, it's sometimes better to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Do you have a dyno sheet that you could post of that?
Thanks.

Yep. I think the guide on how you convinced the wife would be more valuable than the guide on how to install it.

NA motors blow the #8, FI motors are fine.

More timing is needed to make power on the NA setups, but you can run much less timing with a blower while still making gobs of power.

$7k to build a motor when the NA one let's go, or $7k for a blower to keep the motor intact with an extra 200 horsepower.

You're welcome.

Guess I am a little confused, are you comparing the addition of tunes and CAI's to make more power to adding a blower to make more power. And how the tunes for the CAI can have more impact than a SC? Doesn't a SC need a tune also, Sorry just a little confused and want to understand this better

Here's simple terms for what I'm trying to say.

Bolt on cars with intake and exhaust for example need a lot of timing to make power.

FI cars, supercharged, don't need the same amount of timing.

Timing is what has hurt these motors. That and adjusting the factory knock settings.

You can make more power with less timing with a blown application.

No question but, the massive cylinder pressure increase of high output blower and nitrous apps is going to eventually put a chicane in the rods, too. I think the tune and CAI issue has been pretty overstated. We're talking a couple cars out of thousands and thousands. It's a far bigger data set, I bet, than is currently available for SC on these cars, because of the massive price differential.
