I know from working on helo's that new engines and transmissions usually produce a small amount of shavings from break in type wear. Unless you have chunks larger than 1 mm, I would say, in my estimation, its nothing to worry about. I will be doing my first oil change at 3,000 miles to clean out the garbage, then should be good to go. Can't hurt.

Where do you guys with oil separator dispose the trapped oil? Can I collect the oil in a bottle and give it to my dealer for them to dispose?

Any Advance Auto or Autozone should have an oil disposal tank that you can dump your oil in for free.

As for me? No comment.

I kinda figured that's what it might be. I wasn't freaking out about it.

Edit: Not to hijack the thread, but when are you finally gonna come out with body-colored CAIs? I lost $20 or so because I couldn't wait any longer on you to sell it to get a tuner with it. Shame.

Just ordered the black one!

I really wish my current car had something like this. the inside of the intercooler piping is all pretty much coated with oil and in the 4 years I've owned it, I've had to clean the PCV system twice (a nice 7 hour ordeal)

Never again.

I love mine and i will say the anti seize kinda startled me too but it is just that nice silver lube to keep the threads lubed so they come apart better i think ..
Which brings up a Question .. will I need to reapply anti seize after a good cleaning ??

Theyre probably still processing your order...?

Not every company is instant these days.

My JLT oil separator has been installed for a bit over a full week now (about 8 days).
I average about 100km/62mi each day, so that's about 800km/500mi now that it's been running. Here is the result:

A lot less oil than I thought, maybe 1 teaspoon.
But still I'm very glad that I picked this up - that's a teaspoon of oil that I've kept out of my intake! I just passed 12,000km/7,500mi. I wish I would have purchased this from day 1. I'd highly recommend anybody to pickup this up - not that expensive and it definitely works!

The drivers side is only necessary if you plan to track your car ALOT.

Almost all the blow by happens on the pass side.

Yes, we only recommend the driver side for road course drivers.

Thanks
