You have no idea what is going on here if you think that this oil is coming from the intake filter.

Google is your friend. Look up "blow by".
Ya your right I have no idea what is going on here!! That's why I asked! Why don't you explain it to me instead of being a smart ***???

That's why. Sounds like you aren't asking a question as much as you are trying to teach me which filter to use. You blamed my intake for the oil in the can.

Google blow by. You'll learn all about what causes this oil build up. Get the separator to keep this from going into your intake.

I thought Canadians were all friendly.

We may release it, but will honestly tell you what to expect with street or track use.

Thanks

If there is the slightest possibility of oil on the drivers side then I'd want to have it. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Let me know when I can pre-order.

FYI, we have released the plug and play kit for the driver side.

I will be up front and say that 90% of you will not see oil on the driver side in normal street driving.
The only time I was able to get oil on the driver side is when on the road course. High RPM and tons of on/off WOT will cause a draw on the driver side and pump oil into the intake tube.
I actually filled my separator in 1 30 minute session.
But again, most will only need the passenger side.

Hi Tucker
I bought one the other day from AM and they said they were out of stock and will ship it when it comes in stock. I am going to the track in the beginning of April and was wondering if they will be back in stock by then?

Thanks

It's hard to say as the factory hoses are coming in every week. I don't see a problem with them getting these in stock before then.

Thanks

Is it safe to just throw to oil it catches back in to the engine? Or just throw it away and add fresh?

Throw it away, the can only holds 2 ounces anyway so in the grand scheme of things it's not a lot of oil.

If you see what is IN the catch can... you won't want to put it in your engine!

Besides oil, it can also pick up some condensation (esp. in cold weather) and some other assorted gunk. Sometimes what is in the can looks really nasty!

I have seen a few with these listed in their sigs, now after reading this am feeling pressed to make this mod. Someone even stated it was the best mod on their vehicle. Hmmm. Why does Ford not install a simple part like this if it is going to cause future problems to the engine??? Should I put one on my Nissan Titan too???

I just installed mine today. Install took maybe 30 seconds once I got the engine cover off - but you should probably mention that if you have a STB, that will need to come off in order to remove the engine cover - it won't slide under the STB. 4 13mm bolts and it comes right off. It's heavy!

I'll check back in a few hundred miles to see what all it's caught.

FYI, removal of the STB and engine cover is not needed, but I'm glad you got it and are happy.
