Ya, that sounds like a good plan. Keep the 500's just in case. If you love the Roush, then you will have no problems selling the 500's. If you find out the Roush are to loud for you, then you can deleate your resonators and put the 500's back on.

Im picking up my GT500's on Monday.....got them for $150 for the pair.
They only have 5mi on them, takeoffs from a SuperSnake conversion!
Can't wait to get these on....need to paint them first!

I thought about painting mine as well. I was going to use some High heat paint but I was worried that the paint would create a barrier and the heat wouldn't be able to escape correctly and mess them up. I don't know alot about exhaust and if the heat escaping is a bad or a good thing and didnt want to take the chance. If painting your exhaust is OK then I would definitely take mine off and paint them. Nothing too extreme, just a good textured black. I like the black look of the Flowmaster mufflers. Of course I would leave the tips the way they are.

So Roelito, you think these don't sound loud enough for you?????? IMO, anything louder than that is bordering obnoxious. IMO, this sound is perfect. But each his own. This is the exact set up I like

...and I absolutely loathe the rolled tips! They remind me of the 1980's Japanese cars (a 1980 Accord I had, for instance) where the soda straw tailpipe diameter was enhanced not by Cialis, but by rolled-tip chrome tailpipe extensions. Maybe it's a generational thing - back when I was growing up in the '60's and '70's, REAL muscle cars had real honest exhaust pipes, none of this chrome-plated size enhancement. Just give me big, unadorned pipes please, and the GT500 Axle-backs nicely fulfill that request!
Oh well, maybe we can agree to disagree?

It's all a matter of preference. I love the way mine sounds, I didnt have to "hack" up my exhaust to get it and even with the labor I paid to have it installed it was still only $210 dollars. Winning! LOL

I love my Roush's, I hope when I put this catless X-pipe in it wont be OVER the top, but I love the drone free ride. I dont think I would change a thing on this set up.
