Lol Phil... Sc for you, uh oh. Look out.

But yeah Phil, crossing over to the dark side is all that it's hyped up to be, and more.

Of course! . It should have been outlined and explained in detail in my installation explanation in this thread. Yes, the whole kit comes with everything you want/need. Intercooler, coolant pump, reservoir, pulleys, injectors, mounts, etc etc. easiest install of all kits, plus 3 to 5 year full powertrain (engine and components) warranty.

Thanks tony. I love this time of year. Back out of storage, plus brisk air for more power and lack of bugs on highway. Win win.

I already put 500 miles in a month. That's already 25% of my entire mileage allotment for the year. Lol

Getting old so my memory is going too lol. I believe it's in the instructions online, but if I remember correctly, it was the ignition. So when the key is turned to on, the pump turns on and starts flowing coolant through everything.

Thank you sir. I've been following your guys' beefcake vortech thread as well. I like that set up too! It's so neat that with our mustangs, it's such a "common" platform, that there are many many many (and readily available) options for forced induction. All relatively affordable, reliable, and readily available. With my Nissan setup before, not only were they SO expensive (>10k for a decent setup), but the power gains you had were not that much in the grand scheme of things. And of course the reliability of that setup is laughable.

FromZto5,

Did you find/install a strut tower brace that works with your Maggie and the stock hood?

Sorry if you mentioned and I missed.

Thanks,

This thread deserves to be kept alive.
I have been looking at forced induction options even before I purchased my GT.
I live at 7600 feet above sea level which costs me about 100 HP
I am a month or two away from purchasing a Magnuson because of your experience.

Thanks for the reply.

Burton,

Another refresh of a great thread.

I scanned all the pages but I might just have missed it. Why did you go with Magnacharger instead of the other offerings for the 5.0? I've been reading some about blowers lately and the two that most interest me is the Magnacharger and the Roush phase 1.

I know it's winter, but any issue at all in the last year that you have it?

Ahhhh I miss this thread I just had to read through it again. I can't believe it's been 1-1/2 years already since I had the Maggie on!

As to your question... I went with the Maggie for a few reasons. I think I hashed those out earlier, but I can state them again.

- easiest to install, at least that's what my research let me to believe. Meaning, it's truly a plug and play. No grinding/cutting of the timing cover. I had no interest in that.

- customer service for Maggie was top notch. I spoke to Magnuson directly a few times before purchase. I now know the head sales person, the main engineer responsible, and also their tune writer. I have that relationship with them to this day. They hooked me up with my smaller pulley

- Safe, safe, safe. Maggie's aren't known for big power numbers. Their restrictive inlet is why their power is limited to under 550whp. But that was exactly why I got it. I didn't want to "push my limits", so to speak. Maggie's were known for modest power, from modest boost (6.5 psi) on their stock pulley.

- Drivability is top notch. Again, based on instant throttle response, lower end grunt, and great for everyday, non track use, which I fit the bill for.

I hope that answers your question?

Oh also, it was powder coated blue. Duh....
