Your last sentence is correct. They are very loud. And to me, they blend in with the ricers/Honda crowd.

So many other options to pick from that sound much better. Just my 2 cents worth. Yes I'm old, but by far no pansy; just wiser.
In his defense he said they are only loud when you "get on it", which is an opinion. Personal opinions when viewed by another can not be right or wrong.

But I have to comment on the comparison to ricers! On my Roush before the LTs and O/Rs, the Roush ABs sounded very deep and menacing. Very comparible to old school muscle cars, there was no way they could be mistaken for anything less. Only thing I can think of is that they sound drastically different on a V6, never heard them on one before.

Yeah when cruising, the car sounds like its off, but when you give it a lot of gas, it opens up and growls. So a car that's loud is automatically a ricer? Did not know this....

It's all opinion, I love these and heard others and they're too "tuner" sounding, these are the closest to American sound you'll get in a v6 IN MY OPINION. You like flows? then good for you.

I had a set of these (Roush); installed for less than an hour. They made my Mustang (albeit a V6) sound as if it had no muffling at all. I hated it, and yes, I felt it sound like the kids cars in my neighborhood. Off they came as this was not the sound for me. I realize it's all in what makes an individual happy. Seems the Roush on the V8's get more praise then bad, but the V6's seem have a different point of view from the forums I read and post on. You like them, but more folks don't on the V6's.

Go for it and enjoy. It's all good. We can still tip a beer and have some good talk!

PS: good first name....we have that in common

Yeah true, it's all preference. I just love the pops and the deep sound it has. Some think it sounds bad, some don't! That's with everything.

Haha yeah for sure, you're in FL too, good stuff.

No it does not sound like a honda or a 370z, it sounds beefy and like a muscle car. I have a cai to go with it and together they sound great.

Build quality is superb and it was an easy plug n play install. There is very little drone at 60-63 in 6th gear but then thats it. going 90 in 6th and theyre quiet with 3.31s. People choose the flows over roush because theyre so quiet and the pops are barely there.

It sounds muuuuich deeper than any video youll hear too. They can be very loud when you get on it though.
Mopar.. Not to nitpick on your post and you seem like a nice child but why do you always make general comments about age?? Sorry to the OP but I am taking offense to these age "Old" remarks and had to point out to Mopar. I now return you to your regularly scheduled posts..

I'm surrounded by old people in my neighborhood and in Florida, I am quite sick of them to be honest so I take all my anger out on here obviously. I guess I do it unconsciously too. Some old people are awesome, but most are annoying, whiny, slow, and most of all RUDE for no reason.

I'm the OP and I'll be 37 on Thanksgiving. Because I have worked teaching high school and college several years, I tend to feel older and more mature these days.

Anyway, I ended up selling the Roush mufflers i scored because after the impulse buy, i realized that i don't want a loud exhaust again on my sixer.

I won't be able to hear my own singing in the car!...you know, rockin out to my old music like U2, Zep, and Floyd. Lol

You just described much of Florida.

Must of us older folks feel the same about the younger folks; You're a fish out of water there. Better head north. Florida is a large retirement area. You most likely know that.

I'm older than most here (53), and offer any items I've learned from. Folks can rewad and make their own desicions. That's what makes this site good.

You seem like a cool guy with good taste in cars. Age is just a state of mind.

Example: I'm not far from 40 but my wife is 22. Lol

Florida is a beautiful retirement area. I don't think Mopar would like Sedona, Arizona even though it is stunning. Lol

Hey I dont consider you old at all, old to me is 70+
One of the main reasons i ran out of the"tuner" scene was because of how immature and ghetto they were and got into the american muscle scene because its older wiser people that are in it 90% of the time. I love going to car shows and just talking to older people and theyre happy to share info and tips, ive been to young oriented car shows and everyone is staring people down and their hoods are all closed and its just awkward!

I plan to move up north after college back to Missouri or north carolina. I miss chicago a lot too.

I am one of the awesome ones.
BTW, Mopar, if you really want to hang with the guys who were there; the ones involved with the muscle cars of the 60's, and the first Mustangs, for example, you gotta put up with old guys on Social Security, like me! Just try to picture Gabby Hayes in New Balance sneakers. Any way, I like you and I'm gonna put in a good word for you at Old Guy Central.

Haha never seen that smiley before, but yeah! those kinds exactly. That's why I love going to the old muscle car shows because they show up and sit next to their cars and it's fun. When I was waiting for my car to be built, I met an older man in his 60s that was at this local restaurant here( Quaker steak and lube ) and he had the only performance package '13 stang so I had to go talk to him, he started it up and revved it a bit and he gave me tons of good info and was very kind, now if I came up to a kid at the USF meet (university of south florida) they would be jerks and it's a whole different story, but thank you
