Here it has gone up from around 3.30 to 3.79...2 towns over it is $4.19...even higher in Chicago....I think they are mid to upper 4's.

Funny you mention gas one station here in northern jersey was on the news for ripping people off. Most individuals get regular gas which happen to be 3.79 at this station which was clearly advertised on the big sign and at the pump. However when they would Start the pump on the eletronic screen it would say 4.09 the price of the 93 octane. The station got called out and the news team was there interviewing them. I mean the station is obviously in the wrong here. But people come on pay attention to the pump an the receipt?! They showed a receipt and it came up as "car accessories" not even the usual 93 octane gas 15 gal @ 3.XX. Interesting story so be careful guys and always check your receipt and pump!

I show the synthamax part number as 861-399. that is the pn for just the filter and not the kit. kit pn is 451-264 if you have any reference that. should be able to wipe a white towel and check for oil residue.

With the Airaid you don't have to tune right away or at all if you don't want to. It was the number two performer right behind Steeda in a test that was done and it was only 1 pony down which is negligible in the real world.

There are different Airaid CAI kits ... I posted the different ones earlier in the thread with links to the Airaid website.

Their "Race" model REQUIRES a tune

That's right! No tune (for now), but can upgrade if need be. Steeda is also one of choices, but I got it used from a forum member here.

Yep. Race model just means no Venturi tube. Mine does. If I tune, I simply remove... Takes a couple minutes. Best of both worlds.
