Oh man! Look what I started. I agree, you dont want to throw everything you have at on the first pass. I just thought that it would be faster. Maybe when I get mine it will run those times too. Then I will say the same thing about my car.

Im just basing it off of what my 2010 ran stock and then stock with slicks. The times are almost identical.

And yes I will be running mine as soon as I get it too.

You just wonder how that is when you have more than a 100hp and 70ft of torque.

I was just giving you a hard time.....your MPH wasn't anywhere near the 111-112 however..right? Probably more in the 105-106 range I would assume...

Looks good. But still too early to see the big picture. A lot more information/times will come in during the next few weeks. I'm still thinking someone can hit a ~12.5 with this car stock.

I think they can too....but it will likely be quite some time before it happens. Perhaps not until we have cool fall air.

Thats when the few 12.6's and eventually the 12.58 came for the 10'SS....not until the end of the year. I don't think anyone went quicker than a 12.8 with the camaro until at least fall.

Cars got more miles on them, weather got better, drivers got more comfortable in the cars.

But its really not that hot out yet in a lot of places...still some time left.

Don't you think you're being a little harsh? This is a brand new powertrain, it's gonna take some time to figure out the proper launch technique, rpm and shift points. Your 2010 has a powertrain that had 5 years of trial and error behind it. You already knew how to get the most out of it. Give it some time. By the fall I'm sure the 2011 will be hitting mid to low 12's with suspension work and tires. Just my hunch.

Btw, did you post on modularfords? Just wondering if you were the same 2010 that was up at Cecil County last year.

The car should have a 1.7 in it Showroom Stock on a well prepped track.

Scott C cut a 1.83 in a Showroom Stock 2005 (His car had a bit less of the midrange flat spot than mine).

Ive been 1.89 Showroom Stock and 1.85 on Stock Tires and Suspension with CAI/Tune in a 3.55 Geared 2007.

PS 12.5 is a little conservative.

I don't think there is any way in hell anyone will run a 1.7x 60 ft in 100% bone stock trim (no suspension, no CAI, no tune, no nuthin) on stock tires.

I have to admit I too was a little thrown back by the times. However, I do realize its a car that isn't broke in to begin with. There could be an easy .1-.2 in the 1/4 mile from just break in. I reserve final judgement until I see more times. Whats funny is people want an SRA so we don't have wheel hop yet these cars wheel hop unless you start modding the rear end. I'm not making judgements, just observations. I would really liked to see what they could have coaxed out of the car before they added their rear end pieces.

That being said Evolution has a great reputation on this board as well as other boards with so many happy customers. I applaud them for their efforts. I would like to see an X pipe (not H) with some 200cpi metallic subtrate cats. If you are going to do a catted pipe this would be my choice.

Wheel hop is from the soft bushings they use to keep the NVH low.

There are a few videos that are posted on here that show the wheel hop very clearly.

No one has pulled a 1.8 with the camaro yet. Best has been 1.9's. The guy who has run 12.5 and 12.6's with his has been getting consistent 1.9 60 foot.

They just ran this car with suspension upgrades and slicks and got a 1.8 60 foot. And ran a 12.49. You really think a showroom stock car can get 1.7?

Yes, 1.6's are easily doable now that a better burnout can be achieved without wheel hop.
I too am on 3.55's doing 1.75's, the control arms helped me save me from breaking my spider gears more than 60ft improvement. Wheel hop does a number on them over time.

We pulled 1.83 with a Showroom Stock 2005 with its factory 12.00 launch ratio.
That car is out of power by the 15' mark. Camaro is a totally different animal.

I honestly think a car that has 22% more torque and 14% more launch ratio will make up 0.04 Seconds. At any rate it will be quicker than 1.83 (If Ford doesnt have to much torque management in it)... How much quicker is yet to be determined.

Unless you have been on a well prepped track with some fast cars putting heat in the track you have no idea how well you can hook on real street tires.

PS My car was only 0.06 quicker in the 60' with 4.10's and ET Streets than it was with Factory 3.55's and Pirellis. It was more consistent though.

So since its only capable of 1.83 that means it will only run 12.4 on a good run in great air.
How fast do you think a car can go that traps ~111? 12.4 is going to be about the end of the road. I could maybe see a 12.3...that would be about it.

Cars start lifting the tires at around a ~1.5 60ft...a 1.7...that would have to be some amazing prep and an AMAZING driver. Would never even be close to what one could expect to run on the street.

Do you ever think that maybe the extra 100hp and a little bit more weight could make the 2011 GT just a little more tricky to launch? that is always a factor.

With 111mph trap you can start flirting with 11s. Of course that is a car that is getting amazing 60fts, or in other words not stock tires or suspension.

I ran 12.20s and high 12.10s on 107-108mph with 1.5x 60ft times.

Oh I realize this, just in my eyes it shouldn't be doing this with a car that has a SRA.
