2011 Mustang GT 5.0L Going To The Track and Dyno!
yeah, there were aftermarket heads for the 4.6's. i heard recently their just now releasing aftermarket heads for the 2v 4.6, but ive seen PLENTY of heads for the 3v 4.6. i cant say on the 4v, but i'm positive on the 3v. actually Livernois Motorsports i think sells CNC ported heads for 2v, 3v ad 4v 4.6's.

Arent the 5.0 heads flowing even better than LS3 heads? I know the ls3 heads are around 320 cfm...I thought I heard the 5.0 was close to 340?
I will be going to Milan this year for test and tune...hopefully before it gets too hot outside. I am hoping for mid to low 12's at 113-114mph. But this may be tricky with street tires. The p-zeros do pretty good though...I am pleasantly surprised at how well my 5th gen hooks up compared to my previous 4th gen with the same power levels. I am still just a little bit scared to go. If I break something I will be very upset..I am not made of money. Insurance wont cover what happens at the track. Not to mention I pretty much voided my powertrain warranty with my longtubes and tune....its just kind of scary.
I did figure it would eventually change though.
Now you know why we bought three 2011 GT's so we can develop parts a lot quicker!
Since theres a ton of people reading this thread. I am gonna say it once, keep post on topic, quit with the childish
back and forth (name calling and other snide remarks towards each other). This goes for this thread, and every other thread on the forum as well. ECI you are included in this, so is Todd03blown (names inserted as they are the most recent recently reported). Im sick of getting reported post and then having to come in and read page after page of threads. From here on out, im just going to start deleting post and implementing temporary or possible permanant bans without warning.

As far as I know there are zero castings in existence other than OEM. A ported and polished head isn't an aftermarket head.

I've been following this thread with a great deal of interest, as the 2011 GT is the first Mustang in quite some time that has really gotten my attention.
Question for EVO Performance....the dyno you did, was it SAE, STD, or actual HP?
Thanks!

Good luck getting an answer to that. Evo doesn't really like to post much on forums. They prefer you call them. They seem to be active at the moment to try and drum up more biz.

Bob in the other Evolution Performance thread, if you haven't seen it yet, they confirmed the numbers are SAE #s.
