I got my 1-piece installed a while ago.

The car was recently dyno'd at 390 rwhp / 370 rwtq, and that was with the 1-piece D/S installed.

I don't have any "before" numbers, but the tuner/dyno guy said on his dyno, stock 5.0's usually put down 362-366 rwhp

So and so on it ... I had some vibes after getting it installed, had to rotate the front of the shaft 180 degrees and they're minimized now but still a bit there.
Half the weight of the OEM shaft, supposed to give better gas mileage, quicker acceleration ... I never noticed anything ...
It's cost me about $850 now between the shaft itself, labor to put it in, to have it rotated, gas to drive to the shops to have the work done ... I don't think it was worth it so far.

Just went to the track last night for the first time with this car.
It weighed an even 4,000 lbs with me in it, so the car's about 3725 by itself, as she sat last night. A bit more than I thought she'd be.

Everybody was unhappy with their times, track was slippery as hell, people getting sideways half-way down the track, I got one decent run and 3 that I spun badly on.
The decent run was a 13.1 @ 109
Car's got a Bama tune and an Airaid Race CAI, plus all the other mods throughout this thread

Got dyno-tuned by one of the best Mustang tuners, probably THE best one in New England, anyway ... Pete Johnson at Performance Dyno in Louden NH ...

The 390/370 numbers were running the canned Bama hybrid tune, along with the Airaid "Race" CAI.

New numbers: 405 RWHP, 387 RWTQ

Dear Gabe,

As a fellow SGM owner, I admire your work and learning a lot from your journey. Recently though, mine has developed an engine tick after 2nd oil change. I strongly believe the cause is oil (motorkraft full synthetic from the dealership).

I understand you are very specific about kind of oil used in your car, and so I was hoping to get some advise in this regards.

Thanks in advance,
Paul.

Hi Paul,
I'm currently using Amsoil 10W40 XL with either their filter or a Ford Racing FL820S filter ... the oil's good for up to 10k miles in-between changes, I don't go more than 7k, and probably will change it at 6k

No abnormal noises yet ...

Thank you Gabe,
Do you think there's any possibility that the engine might run hotter/cooler depending on type of oil?

Got new Borla S-type mufflers and today proceeded to PlastiDip the tips and the parts that may be visible from behind the car:

Just about fully dry:

Yes, the tips are huge, large enough for me to easily fit my whole fist in one. I really wish Borla scaled down the tips a bit ...

I felt the same way, but got used to it. I want quads now, though. Funny, I want them black too and we seem to have similar tastes, but I plan everything to death and you just do sh*t, lol.
