It will look huge if painted.

Congrats! I've yet to see a silver without stripes on the road.

I do not, but I was able to locate a car for the guy. I'm getting it myself tomorrow. Gonna use Blue Painter's Tape to keep the bugs and any errant stones from damaging the front!

Do you want me to find you one? I'll be glad to help. Just give me a call.

I would really like to find a California/Nevada/Arizona dealer that would price as aggressively as the dealers in Texas. It is just such a daunting task.

I was planning on buying a 2013 Boss, but at the price some of these dealers are selling the Shelby and the fact that my wife prefers it to the Boss, I would really like to go that route.

If it weren't 1200-1300 miles away...

Jeff: Any idea of when the $2500 dealer incentive program ends?

I believe the program is listed until April 4th, which is the end of the 1st quarter. But believe me, this isn't going away until all the cars are gone, as they need to move them.

If you want that car out there in Texas, go for it. Driving it back would be a blast of a trip and a great break-in for it. If not, the money your saving can help pay for a transport trailer to bring it home for you.

I completely plan on buying a 2013, but this is really tempting.... get a 2012, put about 6-8k into it, and have a car with as good or better performance than the 2013, and still come out 5-10k cheaper.

Thanks, Jeff!

I am definitely considering the road trip. The only problem is that I would have to take I-40 through Arizona...

Does Arizona actually maintain their roads? The last time I drove that road (early 2010) I had several potholes in the interstate try to eat my Explorer Sport Trac. I am lucky I only had to get an alignment after that business...

Maybe a transport trailer would be the way to go. I am having a local-ish dealer look into getting me one at a similar price closer to home before I make any moves. 5.0 Brian also has a not-really-used one I am considering.

Is the $2500 incentive going on in Florida and can it be used with X-Plan as well? I might be tempted to move up from the both if both of these are available.

Transports really arent that expensive. I have been pricing through a few different carriers just in case the weather is bad when i go to pick my car up. I will warn you though once they get your info expect them to harass you with phone calls and emails.

I just put a deposit down on a '12 Shelby red/white stripes w/ PP and EP. Going to pick it up in March.

I was a little sad to hear it had 74 miles on it but I will live.

Thanks, guys!

I am so excited. I just bought plane tickets and a hotel room in Dallas. It will be the most excellent 1400 mile road trip I have experienced.

I am wondering if I should tape up the front end like yours for the trip home, Ecrissman. I really would not be pleased if I ended up with a rock chip or something on the way back...

Any possibility you could get a clear bra installed before you pick it up? I have one on the Boss and it's great
