Not sure if this is a good deal or not but for those looking, a dealer here in Northern Illinois has a 12 GT500 vert for $48,484, sticker is $55,790.

Good looking out Jeff. I just checked the price, its dead invoice ($50,984, less the $2,500 marketing program). Car is at the bottom. Its a good deal!!

Is it likely that people are holding off for the next Gen or the 2013?

Hi everyone I'm still a little new. I'm in the market of trying to buy a 2012 too, my credit is not the best but going to try lol. Also was wondering if any body got a letter in the mail about buying back 05 and 06 mustangs. I'm not sure if that is just for the lot that I got it from or what. I have a 06 Gt that I'm going to try and trade it on that 12' its 50k with x-plan, any advice

Hey bud, the letter is just a dealer trying to drum up business. If you want some help locating a car, just send me a PM with the options and color you want and your ZIP code and I can tell you what is in your area. Once you find one you like, I can pull up the invoice for you and tell you the X-Plan price on the car and less the $2,500 incentive.

Had a good laugh this weekend.

Went to our annual Mustang car show and the dealership that refused to talk about selling their Kona GT500 at anything below their jacked-up price ($59k) three months ago had two cars at the show.
A really nice used KR and........the same Kona GT500!
That car has now been on their lot for over a year.

My son and I walked past and I chuckled looking at the salesman and telling my son "That's the car they wouldn't sell three months ago. Yeah, looks like that was a good decision"
The salesman was realy embarrased.
I was really amused.

Is the $2500 incentive plan for the 2012 GT500s still going on? I have been a silent reader of this forum for a while and think I might need to finally take the plunge into the driver's seat.

Hey bud, the incentive is still there. If you want me to help you find one near where you live, just let me know. And I apologize for not getting to your PM last week. I was in a serious car accident and was out for over a week due to concussion and a brain bleed. Check out the pics of it on the 2010-2014 general thread. Let me know if I can help you.

Jeff, nothing to apologize for! It looks like quite a hit. Weird that the side airbags didn't deploy but at least you are on the road to recovery!

It is tempting but I plan to wait for 2013, I don't want to pull up next to a 2013 later and have regrets. Of course, if they do something crazy with 2013 pricing, plans could change.

I'm seeing 2013's in Floriduh for 65,000+. That is a pretty big ticket, and I'm not sure it is worth more than $16,000 more than a 2012.
