Reviving an old thread. I just wanted to post confirmation that the program has been EXTENDED through July 2!! The program end date was yesterday. I knew they were going to extend it, but couldn't do anything until I had official word. Its still $2,500 and good on X-Plan.

Its looking like alot of dealers won't give the cars up now. I'm having the hardest time just confirming the availability of some cars with dealers nearby. Some of the cars have been on the lot for over 200 days, but they still won't dealer trade them. Come on dealers, you can't sell the car, just get rid of it to a dealer who can use it.

Those kind of incentives make it hard for potential buyers to wait on the '13s.
I'm fighting it myself.

Well, once I hear back from someone on here, if they don't want my 2013 GT500, if you haven't found a place to order a '13, let me know. Though the 2012 is a great great deal right now.

Most won't mention the $2,500 marketing program. Are you local? Maybe we can talk?

Without the deals on the 12s I don't think I would have bit on the 13s. On the other hand I'm sure glad I did and loving every time I drive mine!

Jeff is one of the best car salesmen I have ever dealt with. He helped me through the ordering process for the GT500 and made it tons easier than it would have been had I done all of this on my own. I'd be buying from him if I hadn't found the dealer I'm working with down here in Texas. It says something about him that someone from Texas would buy a car from him up in Pennsylvania. He's true Mustang fanatic and he knows these cars. He's also a stand-up guy.

I have a question for Jeff (05fordgt). If a dealer A gets a GT500 from dealer B, is dealer B allowed to keep the $2500 incentive?

Hey bud, I'll be happy to answer that for you. No they can't. The $2,500 incentive is only able to be claimed once the car is sold. Its only transfered from one dealer to another, usually by floorplan transfer. Are you looking for a 2012 leftover bud? If so, let me know.

Hey guys, thanks so much for the kind words!! Buying one of these cars should be the best and most fun experience ever!! That's what I try to do, as I have the enthusiasm for the car and brand. Plus, I love talking Mustangs with anyone who will listen!! Matt, believe me, I wish you lived closer

I bought a 2012 through my local dealer. They got the car in Arizona. When I asked about the $2500, they said the dealer in Arizona would not release the $2500. It was not a dealer trade, my dealer had to send a check to the dealer in Arizona to get the car. I flew to Arizona and drove the car home myself, so I know that it was not a dealer trade. Thanks for the answer.
