I did a quick search on cars.com and the most expensive one is the 2012Kona from that idiot dealership I went to last Friday.
Lol. Figures.
Still kinda pissed about that.

I know the pain of waiting. Found my Boss online in Jacksonville, worked the deal, waited on the bank, waited for it to get on a boat, waited for it to get to Germany. All good things come to those who wait! Now I'm waiting for the weather to get better so I can take her out of the garage.

I wasted my entire weekend this past week trying to buy a Shelby under x-plan at both Tuttle click in orange county and Sunrise ford in Fontana. At Tuttle click I was on my last few signatures on the contract and I realized they were charging me 49k for a 12 Shelby with pp and recaros. We had agreed on 48 in writing. They also brought up the apr from 5.9 to 7.25. I spoke to the salesman and manager and they lied to my face saying I misunderstood them. It got so bad that my wife was out in the cold crying as I was arguin with the sales manager we wasted 2 evenings at that MFing stealership. Similar story at sunrise, We agreed in a price over the phone, I came in and they retracted the agreement. In the end I gave up and ordered the GT...
That pretty much sums up every California dealer that I can think of. There may be decent ones but I have interacted with loads of them and have yet to find one. That is why I am going 1600 miles to get my Shelby...

Wow, I have been very happy with the experience here in TX. I used to travel to CA a lot so I know where you are coming from, it is quite different there.

BTW, if you have good credit and can qualify, you can get 2.49% (1.99% sometimes) on any new car at Penfed.org. I use them all the time, fast and simple financing and great rates.

I hear that. Granted I won't close the deal until March, but if my experience so far is any indication, I will probably be going to Texas to get all my future Fords as well.

He would have seen that the car was available on X-Plan and maybe, just maybe, that would have motivated the manager to get off his a$$ and sell a car that has been there for almost a YEAR!!!

Sorry, I get really really pi$$ed at dealerships who treat people like this!! I started when I was 20, and some customers didn't think I was old enough to sell cars. That didn't get me mad. I laughed and kept working. Today, I've been here 15 years this April, and I'm always in Ford's Employee Excellence program (past 5 years). Why some salespeople are as lazy as they are is just incomprehensible!! It really irks me to no end!!

Give me a call today. I want to go over a few things with you and give you some choices. I wanna help you get your car one way or another
He is not alone, I went to an svt store here in Toronto....with my kids to see how they fit in it....had 8 cars on the lot all black, 2011s and 2012s ....one had the door open, we sat in it ....walked around to see the others, came back to the convertible that was open ...and gues what...someone locked the doors on it.

In 15 minutes I was thierry, not one person to talk too in a Monday afternoon....suffice to say ....I wen tand ordered my 2013 convertible 5.o from another dealer.

Checked on a 12 GT500 in my area and called the dealer up about the car. Asked him if they take Xplan and he told me he will find out about it for me. A day later he called me back and said yes. Ford will accept the X plan on the 12 GT500's. Hopefully if a financial deal comes through next week I will have that Shelby. Oh and with the X plan it will take 4 grand off the sticker price so that is great!

You should be able to get better than 4k off the sticker. I got 8 grand off MSRP with no haggling (not that I needed to haggle with the awesome dealer I am working with).

My X-Plan price on a base GT500 is $44805. I just wish I was ready to buy right now. With the SVT, Recaros, Scoops/louvers, and electronics it's 52,923.

I have seen them for 50k. It shouldn't be hard to find one for that price.

You should also be able to get $2500 cash back in dealer incentives.

Yeah, not every dealer is willing to give up that money to move the car. I will, I've done it and I will do it again in a heartbeat if it means getting a car in the hands of an enthusiast!!
