In an article entitled 200 MPH for Everyone on page 12 of the February issue of Automobile magazine , the writer says the 2013 GT500 is a 200 mph car for about $55000. I am thinking that will most likey be the average price. I think the base price for a GT500 is going to be around $48900.

I doubt they will exceed the 7k or so they produce now, for alot of people, the exclusivity of owning a limited production vehicle is more important than the car itself. That this is last most powerful and fastest S-197 to be produced is completely secondary.
Thats not a bad deal and would be a great deal if thats the base car with the performance pack included.

If I had a 2012 GT500, and someone came in with a PIN number for X-Plan, and wanted that car, it would be delivered ASAP!! Some dealers are just stupid when it comes to markups!!!

I heard a rumor that Ford is unveiling the 2013 GT500 convertible at the Detroit auto show in the next week or two perhaps they will give us a clue on the pricing then.

I strongly expect they will release the price there. It would be the appropriate place to reveal the price. Only a few more days to wait .

We probably won't see pricing and an order guide until after Chicago in Feb. Haven't heard any confirmation one way or another that the GT500 convertible will be at Detroit. We do know they exist though, since we've seen them running around the metro area this past week.
And yes, it was fun. I needed fresh boxers.

Drat !! So we are going to have to wait after the Chicago show to get pricing ? I hope the price information comes sooner. I need to get my financial ducks in a row.

Goin to the Chicago auto show I'll have to see if they talk about price. I don't have the money for one but you guys have made me interested in what it will actually cost! Unless someone felt like sharing the wealth

In the March issue of 5.O Mustangs & Super Fords there is mention on page 50 of how many 2013 GT500 Mustangs will be built. Ford will build one less than the demand . Does not sound like a real limited run for the GT500. Maybe all of us who want one will be able to get one.

He's got 2 still there with ADMs on them? He's nuts!!! Anyone who is an X-Plan buyer can buy that car at X-Plan rigtt now, but knowing that store, they would turn the sale away!!

Also, could somebody tell me if there'a a way to receive responses by email, and if so how might I enable it?
Cheers,

X-plan is special pricing set up by partners of Ford. Some employers have partnered with Ford to give their employees special pricing on certain vehicles. There are other ways of getting the X-plan pricing but I don't know them. X-plan pricing is around dealer cost.
