Is that coating worth the $200? i kno it will keep ur engine cooler but is it really that big of a deal to put $200 in? info.. please
Chris, to answer your question the 615 isn't a bad price at all now the additional cost of the ceramic coating I dont know? I know that the ceramic coating does make the header scavenge heat more effectively than the stock material. You have to be sure it is done right though. It helps to move the exhaust thru the header and on thru the rest of the exhaust system. For the going price right now on long tubes even for 800 hogs its not too bad considering some are still fetching a cool grand.

The only thing I can say is a ceramic coating is worth having on headers. Now, what you pay for them is your business but I wouldn't buy any headers without them being coated. My GTX had Ceramic coated TTI headers and my last 88 LX had ceramic coated BBK's.

I would also check to see if they coat both inside and outside. You need both surfaces coated for the best long term results.

I'm glad I'm not in the market for headers anymore .

I want headers but I refuse to pay what they are going for right now. For a grand for a good set its not worth it.

Andrew that whole Kaleco auto thing was beat to death a long time ago here. That's the reason why no one is responding to it. LOL

You will never see a set of headers on my Roush. For one, back in the day it took headers and aluminum heads and cams and intakes and carbs just to get close to the HP my car is putting out now(without headers). Headers are one headache(and cost) I don't miss, but they work and look good when they are done right!!

1000% correct. When they bend some tubes up for us, at a reasonable price, headers will find their way on my car. Not until then.

And don't buy, for a moment, the power claims from headers that we're seeing right now. I've seen as much as 30 RWHP claimed from headers?! Gimmie a break! Yes, the 'log'-style manifold we're working with right now sucks, but no way, not even on a SC car, are we going to see 30 RWHP from a set of freakin headers. They're just wanting to justify their near-$1,000 price tag.

Not from this cat. No way, no how.

Some of the markups on products for the S197 are rediculous! I dont understand why? I guess its like the price of gas.

Its more of a Novelty andrew. A lot of the hot rods back in the day had these buttons. Yes you have to push the clutch in, yes you have to turn the key. But let me tell you when you push the button and the car starts up it makes ya smile

Very cool Jarrod! I wanna do this mod too.

I got my clear corners and those alum 1/4 window panels on today. Mr. Dave-O stopped by to give me a hand. Man.. it's getting hot out there.

Jarrod I can't wait to see the push button thing. Sounds like you had fun.
