Great, better start saving now. I hope it's quite a bit less that what that original flyer said.

the price wasn't my main issue with this hood.. it's the fact that it's not the KR hood, and is nowhere near as good as that!

To each his own Louie. I prefer the SS hood.

very true
i just didn't like the lines on the SS hood.. and the finish seemed wavy in the close up shots (kinda typical of fiberglass stuff)

finally, the fact that it's fiberglass did it.. i've had quite a bad experience with my current hood

This may be what y'all are looking for, TruFiber has started a post for a '68 style Shelby hood for the S197 GT500. It is still in development but based on their release of the GTS-1 and GTS-2 '68 style hoods it shouldn't be more that a couple of months wait. It looks like it is patterned from their GTS-1 hood, just a teaser photo on Phils first post.

I would be interested in a Carbo Fiber KR or SS hood. Not sure If I would want to step down to fiberglass. Carbon Fiber is far superior to fiberglass. Plus it is lighter and lighter is better!

Super Snake Hood

I just ordered the Shelby Super Snake Hood, pricey but for an extra $400 or so looks better than any other hood out there on the Shelby front end.
