GT500KR hood available?
Dah! I wish I would have known you were building a new site...I would have done a top notch, all Flash website for you in exchange for one of these hoods.
Amy: good luck with the event tomorrow
does this mean my hood is ready to ship the day after?
now that i think of it, i'm seriously hoping to have a better luck with this hood than i did with the CS6 needing so much prep work to even line up, let alone clear my stock engine at the time, then the whipple supercharger now!
it's kinda insane to let go of the CS6 hood after all the time and work i've put into it just to make it fit, but that's how much i love the KR hood.
any idea if it would have clearance issues with my whippled 06 mustang?

Amy will the SS hood be available to the general public? I need that hood on my car.
I sure hope the quality has picked up since I got my CS6 hood for what they are charging for the SS hood.
Man the bait and switch trickery with the rumors of the KR hood being for sale....and now 2 grand for the weaker SS version....I am very thoroghly unimpressed with all of this.
It would be nice for Amy to chime in on this because IMHO $900.00 would be too much for just a FRP (fiberglass hood) especially if it’s any thing like the CS6 hood. I had 3-4 hours of just clean up and prep before the first coat of primer was laid down.
If the SS hood is carbon fiber then that’s a different story (still just a bit high) as long as the quality better than most of the FRP parts put out by Shelby.

A bit over $19K in parts, $9K in labor, and the sale of takeoffs. Shelby Autos has a winner here. It's the dealers that won't have an easy time with ADMs on a car with a MSRP of $75K.
Better have them make the money than the dealers.

Well I DID want that hood. $1800 for a fiberglass hood is just ridiculous. I'm sorry but not everyone who would want that hood is a Shelby owner with all the money in the world. It sucks that they are going to offer parts to the general public but put them out of the general publics price range. Poor move SAI.

Look at the SS hood in the nearby thread. It is a nice one too.
