Great! I'm finally getting mine in for this in two weeks (I think). Last time I was in there I said pretty much the same thing you did: I'm a loyal customer, I've complained about this every 6 months since April 2006, this problem is annoying and unsafe, there's just no way the dealer can recreate the problem, and I've just had enough. The service manager said to call him directly when I was ready to schedule my service and he'd take care of it. Hopefully all goes well.

You'll know it if you have it. It's unmistakable. After a long cruise (riding 5th gear at 60-70 mph for 45 minutes) then you either drop down to 3rd to pass, or come up on a toll or stop light and try to take off. The engine stalls momentarily.. almost like 'ol vapor lock. Very jarring.
