I took my 2005 GT into the dealer last week to fix the front end clunking issue and when I picked it up the paperwork said they completed 07-23-1 and replaced the lower control arms. I was expecting them to do 07-18-1 to replace the upper strut mounts. I did a search on that TSB number but I can't find any information. The clunking seems to have gotten better but I don't know whether I still should go in upper strut mounts replaced as well? Has anyone else got TSB 07-23-1 done?

 

I asked the same a while back and it remains a mystery. I looked on a bunch of different sites etc and never found it. All I know is it has to do with the lower control arms and the clunking is gone. I still am going to go back and push for the upper strut mounts though.

 

can you call the dealership and ask to explain?

 

I could and thought about it and then decided not to. I'm already a pain in their butts (they know me and my car when I walk in the door HAHA)

 

But we need to know, I will call this afternoon.
