Hoss is correct - although seen on almost all '70 Mach 1 cars these days, none ever came with them because of the fender interference problem that did not exist on Boss cars with the rolled fenders.

I can think of 3 things looking at the front of the engine:

1: Thicker harmonic dampner
2: Dual Point distributor with no vacuum advance
3: If it's a '65 or later, it would have a larger diameter alternator pulley

Ok, here we go:

On 1969-70 Mustangs with the 428 Super Cobra Jet, what was significant about the horn placement when compared to other cars with the regular 428 Cobra Jet engine option?

you could`nt have asked a " COOLER " question .. when i built my SCJ forever ago it took the machine shop several weeks to find one intake valve that had to be replaced.. it was larger than even a " standard " 428 cobra jet,,, but someone else can give the answer

The SCJ had chrome air horns and were mounted on the roof next to the CB antenna.

From 1967-1969 the 390 cubic inch engine was offered in the Mustang. What were the two engine codes for the 390 during this run?

Yes, Mr. Webster, you are correct. Did you get your Mustang back from Ray's yet?

I should get it back soon. You won't recognize it the next time you see it.

Next question: What is the displacement of the engine that was installed in the first Mustang that came off the assembly line?
