No more X-plan on Bullitts per Ford...
That 70% residual sounds odd. That's way too high on 24 months, even for a car with good resale value like a Mustang. Lease rates aren't all that good on Mustangs these days, so cash or conventional loan looks better. Ford has some awesome lease deals on their mainstream stuff, but not on Mustangs currently.
An excellent point was made on Blue Oval Forums....if a dealer was willing to do x plan then he should also be willing to do invoice +$400 (which would give him the same profit as x plan).
So I think everyone who ordered under the x plan should take some joy in this- just bring this point up with your dealer and I'm sure he'll sell you your Bullitt at invoice +$400.

The dealer helping me was more than fair, and offered to sell at cost, with me making up the difference. I just couldn't see doing that, and would have probably held off on using the pin.
You have any more pics of yours posted yet?
Mike,
I haven't taken delivery yet
But today IS the day! I have to play hockey in the morning and will probably get to the dealership at noon. I will be taking more picture and will post them up.

I'm currently between purchasing a Bullit (drove it and loved it) of a GT soft top and was about to purchase the bullitt yesterday when I was informed that I could use "A" plan pricing but not the special 3.9% for 60 months (this really sucks). I guess that I will end up spending more on a soft top GT
I had no trouble getting the x plan that I had already arranged with the dealer to get. I also still got a $1250 reabate that was ineffect when I ordered the car. And I got 1.9% financing for 36 months.
in your case the $1250 might be to make up for the dollar value factor.
I talked to my dealers sales manager (also a buddy of mine) and was going to work up my final pricing on the bullitt and gt soft top for me in the morning and I will ask him to look into the finacing again to seal the deal!
X-Plan is approximately invoice or slightly below invoice. I've never had any luck negotiating a new car purchase down to exactly invoice. The salesperson always asks for how much over invoice... With the X-Plan, there's no haggling. With a special edition car like the Bullitt, you'd have to be very good friends with the dealer or have a lot of pull/influence (or maybe you have a silver tongue) to get them to sell a Bullitt at or below invoice without a A/D/X/Z plan.
