Hey Dennis, just sent you a PM.

Brian, I thought that too, when he PM's me with a few questions. Then I ran a VINCENT with his ZIP and I'll be...its 69% for 24 months at 15,000 miles. If you go 10,500, you get 72! Thats insane. I've never seen the lease residual that good on a Mustang let alone a GT. And the rate is only 4.75. Much better than last month.

Thanks so much for that piece of info. MS

An excellent point was made on Blue Oval Forums....if a dealer was willing to do x plan then he should also be willing to do invoice +$400 (which would give him the same profit as x plan).
So I think everyone who ordered under the x plan should take some joy in this- just bring this point up with your dealer and I'm sure he'll sell you your Bullitt at invoice +$400.

Good point Whammer. You're right, as a long time ago, I used to buy my Mustangs from a dealer who would show me the invoice price and mark it up $500, and that was fine with me. And this was long before I even knew what an X-Plan was. This point was proven when I priced a Mustang from "another dealer" ( I was making sure my dealer was being fair and honest ), and found out the other dealer wanted an extra $2300 over my regular dealer! Quite a difference!

That's true for X plan, but the other plans end up being less than what the dealer pays for the car. I think that the difference in my case was about $1000.

The dealer helping me was more than fair, and offered to sell at cost, with me making up the difference. I just couldn't see doing that, and would have probably held off on using the pin.

You have any more pics of yours posted yet?

I'm currently between purchasing a Bullit (drove it and loved it) of a GT soft top and was about to purchase the bullitt yesterday when I was informed that I could use "A" plan pricing but not the special 3.9% for 60 months (this really sucks). I guess that I will end up spending more on a soft top GT

You should be able to use A plan on the soft top too.
I wonder why the 3.9% wouldn't apply?

true on the incentives. I'm surprised they can't do anything on the financing though

I had no trouble getting the x plan that I had already arranged with the dealer to get. I also still got a $1250 reabate that was ineffect when I ordered the car. And I got 1.9% financing for 36 months.

in your case the $1250 might be to make up for the dollar value factor.

As pointed out by Airwolf in another thread, Bullitts are no longer being excluded by Ford for any of the plan pricing (A/D/X/Z)! Great news!!!

X-Plan is approximately invoice or slightly below invoice. I've never had any luck negotiating a new car purchase down to exactly invoice. The salesperson always asks for how much over invoice... With the X-Plan, there's no haggling. With a special edition car like the Bullitt, you'd have to be very good friends with the dealer or have a lot of pull/influence (or maybe you have a silver tongue) to get them to sell a Bullitt at or below invoice without a A/D/X/Z plan.
