Depends on how motivated the dealer is. But that's why there's a bunch of dealers. It's no secret why big box retailers were established so easily, consumers are lazy by definition and practice (myself included....).

Worth noting: there are a number of little rebates from Ford that do not apply when x-plan is applied. That's how I got my '08 GT on retail for less than x-plan. They probably don't apply to the Bullitt though.

 

D'oh! I was doing so awesome in not checking the current incentives! Didn't want to feed the buyer's remorse monster....


Bought my '08 on New Year's Eve.

 

I suspect this move was pushed for by the dealers with clout, who got the Bullitts first, before customer special orders were filled, the dealers who have been trying unsuccessfully to get ADMs.

If Ford is smart they will honor X-plan by order date, not build date.
There are many of us who ordered back in October, and some with with X-plan PIN, who still don't have a car.

 

This is the biggest BS I have ever heard.You would think they would honor the order date to qualify for x-plan.I am sure they can come up with some creative ideas if they want to sell cars.Especially those of us that have loyalty with the dealership.I guess we will soon find out.

 

I agree. What a load. Just b/c it took them freaking 2 months to build my car if it has even been built... now I have to go negotiate. I was hoping for the easy way out. It's a freaking add-on package to the gt... you're really ****ing me off, Ford.

 

Whats the chance that Ford have some caveat in their fine print that excludes the 2008 Mustang Bullitt from the $1500 in available cash back incentives listed till 3/31/2008? If SixtySix is right that X-Plan would work out to a $2000 savings then maybe the cash back incentives would make up for most of that...

Sad to say, but he's right. Found the info on FMCdealer just a minute ago. I can't say I'm suprised. I am a little miffed that they also canned the A/Z/D Plan also. Now I'm glad I didn't order one. I couldn't get it anyhow.

 

It's actually $1500 plus a $500 cash back. Should be able to be used together?

If they won't honor X-plan retroactively they better honor this!

The Bullitt is a GT Mustang with an option package after all.

 

Lynda, the $1500 does NOT apply to Bullitt or Shelby models - just the V6, GT, and GT/CS.

When you special order anything at Ford (and most other manufacturers) you get whatever incentives are available at the time you take delivery of the vehicle - not when you order it. That means that anyone who ordered a Bullitt assuming X-plan (or the A/D/Z plans), who has not yet taken delivery, is out-of-luck. Guess I won't be taking delivery of the black Bullitt I ordered for myself!!!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Ford is excluding Bullitt from all public incentives (rebates, special finance rates, and plan pricing). Bullitt does qualify for a few obscure rebates, however, and I'll post that list shortly....
