Me too. I could buy a regular GT for way less....bought the Bullitt because I liked it, and they changed the regs for Z plan a few months back and I was now eligible. I'll call the dealer tomorrow and see what they tell me.

Has it been built yet? I know you, I, and Mike had similar blend dates. My dealer called me tonight to let me know my car was sitting on a car carrier in Flat Rock and should arrive mid/late next week.

Duncan, Mike, Lynda,

It seems like the dealers you're working with are good people- I'm really hoping they do something for you and lessen an impact of losing x plan.
It's the fair thing to do.

If they won't honor X-plan retroactively they better honor this!

The Bullitt is a GT Mustang with an option package after all.

What do you mean $1500 + $500 ? I have a GT/CS on order that should be here in a couple of weeks...where is the extra $500 coming in at?

I thought it was just $1500 OR spec. financing of like 5.9 for 72 months?

Well I do like the salesman I have been dealing with. I was shocked to find out he is only 23. That's my son's age. I think he will do well by Ford.

Well, after some investigating work... I don't think my car is scheduled at all. I don't know if it's my saleguy's fault or the reg. mgr has been lying, but it is still unscheduled... and with the loss of the x-plan, I'm thinking about pulling the plug. I really am just sick of all the bs to go through just to get this car... I don't know. I'll see how I feel in the morning.

If you look at teh incentives page you see the $1500 then ther is tab "Retail offers" when you click on it there is "RCL Customer cash" $500
"Program #50044:Take new retail delivery from dealer stock by 3/31/2008. See dealer for residency restrictions and complete details."

The $1500 is " Program #11452:Take new retail delivery from dealer stock by 3/31/2008. See dealer for residency restrictions and complete details."

The Regions seem to be a big part of the problem, for sure.

My brother got very lucky and purchased one last Saturday on the x-plan. He wouldn't have otherwise.

Just be patient and they will offer it again. The same thing happened with the Mach 1s and even the '05s when they first came out. The '07 Shelby GTs are not even getting sticker anymore and dealers have 2 or 3 in stock and its Jan. '08. We'll probably see at the very least MSRP GT500s here shortly as well and a lot of dealers still have '07s.

Pulling the discount programs seems especially odd when you consider how many Bullitts aren't selling on ebay. Do a 'completed' search and see how few have sold at or about MSRP.

Maybe its the 'tighten up' for the 'now factor' sales tactic (since they aren't selling too fast anyway they won't lose much for a month or two), and then offer a sale after a short bit? Or the 'fear factor' sales tactic (better buy one now because they're only going higher from here)?

The stupidity of Ford is huge when you consider the lousy sales for the last half of 2007, the lousy projections for 2008, and the crappy economy, markets, jobs, dollar, gas prices... blah blah blah

Ford is lucky to have me interested at all, and shouldn't be playin with that if they had a brain and a pulse on the economy and their potential customers.

Maybe I should have waited for that 40mpg VW turbo diesel instead of screwin around with Ford's worn out games and old world technology.

When you special order anything at Ford (and most other manufacturers) you get whatever incentives are available at the time you take delivery of the vehicle - not when you order it. That means that anyone who ordered a Bullitt assuming X-plan (or the A/D/Z plans), who has not yet taken delivery, is out-of-luck. Guess I won't be taking delivery of the black Bullitt I ordered for myself!!!
My car was ordered on Z plan back in November. I understand about the rebates, as the dealer told me that they were subject to change when I ordered versus delivery, but to not honor the plan that I ordered under doesn't sound right.

Guess I'll find out what they say tomorrow.

The new incentives are out and now they are offering 3.9% at 60 mos.I know before the didn't offer the rebates so does that mean that they are now.If so that changes everything. The strangest thing to me is when you use the Ford web site to build the rebates and x-plan are showing up in the fields.

Mike, I know this stinks, but since Ford won't allow the plan deals to go through, the dealer you ordered it from can't sell it to you at Z-Plan without taking a total loss. Remember, its not the dealer's fault, its FMC.

Found out if you are a Ford Signature dealer and your bullitt didn't arrive on time you can apply for "order protection" but not many dealers are signature dealers, ours isnt. I've got it in my right mind just to hold it in the back lot and claim a part is on back-order until they release d-plan...

I just spoke with a buddy of mine at a local Ford dealer. Obviously this may not necessarily be the same at all dealerships but according to the Sales Manager at his dealership incentives are NOT available for the Mustang Bullitt!

No X-Plan... STRIKE ONE
No Incentives... STRIKE TWO

So whats gonna be STRIKE THREE Ford???

Actually my x-plan deal fell through last month in that I could not get the dealer to put it in writing, so I cancelled the order. Then I was made aware of one at another dealer that was on order for "stock" and had no buyer, and that's the one I'm waiting for now. No x-plan happening there, or any other dealer I talked to, so MSRP for me.

My dealer told me last night there were NO incentives. I went to Ford's website and built a Bullitt and no incentives came up on the summary page. It appears the Bullitt IS exempt from anything.

I would really hate to be a dealer right now having to tell their customers about this after they promised them something different. The dealer is going to get all the flack.

It stinks but I wouldn't expect a dealer to sell a car on a plan if Ford is not going to reimburse them. They can, however, at least take some $$ off MSRP.
